About this property
Peaceful mid-century house under the boulders near Joshua Tree National Park
The space Casa Panorama is the perfect spot to enjoy the unique, cosmic vibes of Joshua Tree and the high desert. A chic, rustic mid-century house nestled beneath the boulders next to the Joshua Tree National Park border, it’s a minimalist meets modern meets country escape.
The two-bedroom space easily accommodates four guests and features a full kitchen, dining area, and living room with a fireplace and incredible views. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy your stay including coffee and cooking basics (olive oil, spices, salt & pepper, etc.). The recently renovated bathroom is a relaxing oasis with a custom Moroccan tadelakt plaster shower. High desert temperatures can be extreme, but Casa Panorama is equipped with an evaporative swamp cooler for hot summer months, and a gas heater and cozy fireplace for cold nights in the winter.
Outside, enjoy the hot tub, shaded picnic table, hammock, and plenty of chairs for enjoying amazing sunsets and stargazing. Inside, entertain yourself by listening to records from our house collection or your own music on bluetooth speaker, playing games, or watching the Roku TV (Netflix, HBO, ESPN, etc.).
Joshua Tree village is just a quick seven minute drive west. The nearby west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is a 15-minute drive from Casa Panorama. To the east towards 29 Palms, the north entrance to the park is about a 20-minute drive.
A few important rules: -We are not currently accepting pets or extra guests. -Absolutely no smoking inside. -Drive and park on the driveway only--help protect the fragile desert ecosystem. -The house will be cleaned after you depart, but guests are expected to leave the house clean, to do their own dishes, and take out their trash and recycling.
Guest access All of Casa Panorama is yours to enjoy during your stay. There is an outside area where you can hang out at the picnic table or in the hammock. While Casa Panorama is on an acre of desert land, we do have some very nice neighbors nearby, so please be respectfully quiet at night.
Other things to note Casa Panorama has security cameras at the front and back doors and side driveway.

The property was a little oasis of calm after a 3 day bonanza wedding in Palm Springs. It was clean, quiet, rustic and well equipped. Close to the Joshua Tree entrance, we were able to be early into the park before the heat of the day. We loved all the classic old records (LPs) and player. They were a musical background to our stay!

This is a stunning property. It’s so comfortable, warm, and the location incredible. We saw amazing wildlife including road runners and the sunrise from the garden was spectacular. The hot tub was a lovely bonus that made the evening very relaxing. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Host communication was fantastic

Came here to unwind, my only regret was not staying longer. Its a charming home with amazing vibes. We enjoyed the music and scenery. Im already planning my next trip.
Lovely mid-century vibe. Great hot tub under the stars. Super comfy beds. We also saw road runners and chipmunks running around the backyard! One of the best parts was stopping at Maso Menos (coffee shop bar) at the end of the street on the way out for the best coffee in the AM, then after a long day of hiking at JT, the best aperol spritz. Would come back in a heartbeat!
My friend and I really loved our stay at the Panorama Casita. Everything we needed was provided for and the home was very clean. We enjoyed the view and seeing the wildlife while sitting in the back patio having breakfast. The home instructions were useful, everything went smoothly, and the neighborhood was quiet. We definitely made use of the fun record collection.
We enjoyed this property. We loved the big rock pile behind the house.
Loved having a jacuzzi to relax in.
Local Coffee was provided which was great!
A washer/dryer and dishwasher would have been nice.
Everything was clean. We were able to check in a little early.
Not far from Joshua Tree Park Entrance!
What a beautiful retreat!! From gorgeous sunset to gorgeous sunrise and the star gazing in between, it was an amazing stay. Such a beautifully appointed interior with everything you could possibly need.
The house was everything we needed for a couple days to hang out close to the park. Easy check in. Loved the vinyl collection. Would recommend to others and would book again.

We loved it! Clean, organized, well kept! We will be back!
This property sits on a large corner lot at the top of a rise ,any neighbors are some distance away, you have a clear view to the north to take in both sunrise and sunset, and the northern exposure keeps things cooler. The landscaping is great, loved the hot tub for sunset viewing. Inside the house are cool concrete or tile floors, a spacious open kitchen/living/dining room where you can always see the desert views. The design of the home is comfortable and modern. There is a cable tv,or a stereo turntable set up with a great record collection for your use. Once we got home from exploring Joshua tree park each day,and visiting a few shops or restaurants, we stayed in the rest of the day, night as the house was the best place to be . Slim pickings for groceries in Joshua Tree town, 29 Palms had the grocery stores. The owners had a great house manual with thorough instructions on the heating/cooling of the house and the hot tub. Also included were helpful recommendations on businesses and restaurants in the area. Glad we took their advice to go to Red Dog Saloon in Pioneertown and Tiny Pony in Yucca Valley.
My wife and I really enjoyed our one night stay at this super cute vibey place. Arrived in the early evening, picked up dinner just down the road and enjoyed it on the back deck with some nice views while listening to some tunes on the record player. After dinner we walked across the street and climbed up some rocks while enjoying the sunset and a cup of wine. After the sun went down we hopped in the jacuzzi to finish off the sunset. The next morning we woke up and drove down the street and picked up some iced coffees from Mas O Menos cocktail and coffee bar to enjoy on the back patio before we had to head home. The house was super clean, and in a quiet area but close enough to everything. Communication was great! We will definitely be back.
