The Clever Rabbit Joshua Tree @ Park West Entrance

Five acres abutting Joshua Tree National Park and less than 1/4 mile from the main entrance. Unobstructed views of mountains in all directions & many Joshua Trees on the property.

You can hike directly into the Park from the property - one of only a handful of properties that has direct access to the Park. It has incredible night sky viewing with peaceful nights.

The lower section of the property has outdoor chairs where you can escape in darkness to view the stars.

Clever Rabbit has everything you'd expect for your Joshua Tree escape, the ultimate rustic desert chic 1 BR with 2 fold down sofas. A modest but clever house that can accommodate up to four + guests. Featuring a large master + en-suite bath & stunning views from every window! With a second full bathroom off the main hall, it's the ideal setup for a small group/gathering. You'll find the small kitchen fully stocked for cooking up a storm. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace in the LR or enjoy a fire under the stars.

With unobstructed views of mountains & the park, you'll find the front porch a perfectly serene place to take in some sun, dine at the picnic table or lounge on the hanging chairs.

Wander directly into the park from the Southern section of the property, it's private & allows for easy park access for hiking or just sitting & taking in the beauty of Joshua Tree.

Perfect stay for a couple looking for a quick getaway for the weekend. Views from the property were impeccable. Walking trails close by for our puppy. Fireplace was great after a chilly day exploring. Highly recommend this place for your stay

It’s a little gem of a house… updated, but has the soul of a classic JT casita. Super comfortable bed, nicely stocked kitchen (Utenils, spices & oils, etc.). One thing to note is that the house is actually situated close to the main road — it’s not exactly out in the dark night sky as cars do drive by regularly. Great hosts and perfect communication.

A beautiful place to stay. A few things to note: the ktichen cabnets did not stay closed and the shower in the bathroom near the bedroom was very strong. These are minor points - I hope to stay there again soon

We enjoyed our stay at Joshua Tree. Things were very cute and cozy. The artwork by the owner was a charming touch. The kitchen worked out well. We appreciated having filtered water, a water heater, and a coffee grinder in the morning. We fixed lunches and one dinner and had everything we needed. It was too windy during out stay to have a fire which we had been looking forward to. This was a great spot for enjoying Joshua Tree, especially if you don't want to be near town for meals.

Very convenient to Joshua Tree, quite comfortable, excellent decor and setting.Three small suggestions. 1 cold water tap in bathroom is a trickle, probably a valve problem, upper or lower. Easily fixable. Other taps fine.2 one overhead light seems out (switch didn’t work)3 would have appreciated access to washer/dryer if available. No biggie, we managed.Overall very nice, would go again.

Close to the park entrance and a short drive to the Visitor Center. The house had everything we needed, was super clean and comfy, and had outdoor seating for viewing the sunrise or the sunset, having a meal in the shade, or for a fire under the stars. We saw jack rabbits and hummingbirds and heard coyotes sing at night. We hope to return!

We had a really nice stay at the Clever Rabbit. So close to JoshuaTree (literally a next door neighbor) and a short drive to many restaurants and essentials. The house is very cute and relaxing with lots of outdoor space and sitting areas. Communication from the owners is excellent and they are very helpful. We would definitely rent it again.

Cozy and convenient house. Great proximity to Joshua Tree NP entrance and a short drive to town. The only downside is that it’s right next to the road, which isn’t apparent in the listing. The road noise isn’t bad, however. Bonus: the local jackrabbit sightings.

Cute little house, well equipped, large for 2 people. Ideally located to Joshua Tree NP. Outdoor furniture all around the house, so we always found a shady spot. Friendly, responsive owners. If I come back here, I will stay again at the Clever Rabbit.
