Spacious vacation apartment with special flair and beautiful views in Glaadt

The 73-square-meter holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of a two-family home in Jünkerath-Glaadt. Oak hardwood floors throughout, along with tasteful furnishings and lighting, make it a particularly cosy place. There are no sloped ceilings, and the ceilings are relatively high—a factor that helped convince me to buy this house 10 years ago. There’s a lovely garden area with patio furniture and a parasol, as well as plenty of parking spaces. Bicycles can be stored in the former stable. Two hiking trails start right from the house. After about 300 metres, you’ll reach the Kyll Bike Path, which—in the summer—takes you by bike in about 45 minutes to Kronenburger Lake, a free swimming lake with sunbathing areas and water play equipment, and can also take you to Belgium if desired. The Alendorf Nature Reserve, with its juniper groves—known as the “Eifel-Toscana”—is a 15-minute drive away. There are several historic villages to explore nearby, such as Kronenburg, Kerpen, and Hillesheim, and in the Friedwald forest near the Don Bosco facility, which is very close by, you can truly enjoy “forest swimming.” The house is in a very quiet location, although a 10-minute walk takes you to a larger shopping centre with Aldi, Edeka, Lidl, Kik, a chemist, and a bakery—everything you need for daily shopping. The owner’s holiday apartment is located on the lower level of the house. I live alone and am only there occasionally. We share the building’s entrance, and you’re welcome to leave your shoes, umbrellas, or luggage in my large entryway. I also have a medium-sized female dog, so dogs are welcome, too. It’s worth noting that there’s only a child- or dog-safety gate at the top of the stairs. So, as you can see in the photos, there’s no lockable front door upstairs. Only the shared front door is locked, though you can, of course, lock your own room. The kitchen-living room is very spacious and features a dining table with 6 chairs, as well as a kitchenette equipped with a ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and coffee maker. A new flat-screen TV is also available.
