Great home for families!
Just the best possible mountain home that you could imagine. Great interior with fascinating decor. Super functional kitchen with all appliances and furnishings for cooking. Super location with fantastic views. Host was very accommodating and communicative. Very unique home perfect for large groups

Away from it all ...
What an amazing place! Just wish we had planned longer, but we are already planning our next stay. Very cozy and it has all of the amenities. Owner is very easy to communicate with. Such a great reset from our daily grind.

Paradise in Nature Cabin
Wow!!!, what an amazing experience we had. This cabin has everything, soap, shampoo, towels, blankets for our convenience and the kitchen is well equipped with all of your extra spices, coffee, tea, creamers, oil etc…very roomy, so many nooks for everyone to just sit and relax. Suggestion keep logs on the fire to keep warm. Definitely returning. Thank you so very much. God has truly blessed you for us. Thanks Gilda

Broking Wedding Weekend
GREAT LISTING! This was such a beautiful place! Minutes from our venue as well as proximity to Julian. We loved getting ready for my wedding and staying in such an eclectic cabin! Exceeded Expectations
The living area and kitchen are much more spacious than they seem in the pictures. It's like a lodge with lots of comfortable seats and hanging out areas. The outside area by the jacuzzi and upstairs deck have beautiful views. The jacuzzi is great. The house managed to stay fairly cool in 90 degree weather and all the bedrooms have overhead fans and there are a couple portable fans. It's a very quiet and peaceful place, lots of birds and lovely wind chimes. The craftsmanship of the house inside and out is incredible- really something to see! We had a great time here in Julian reconnecting with family.

We loved staying at this spacious and interesting cabin in Julian. So memorable in so many ways. Great valley mountain views, lovely outdoor entertaining area. We rented all 6 bedrooms. One bedroom and bath were on the main floor--great for grandma! We enjoyed Paul's eclectic collections and well-stocked kitchen. Every aspect of this experience was easy, fun, and unforgettable.

Huge, Lovely Cabin
There are a ton of great places to hang out in, in and outside of this cabin. The views of the entire valley from the back side of the property are amazing! My whole family loved the cabin and the whole weekend. There are some great hikes nearby also. We went hiking at Vulcan Mountain, and that was fun too.

Cozy Cottage
We fell in love with the Burgio Bungalow from the moment we set foot inside. The pictures are amazing but the feeling you get when you enter is breathtaking. Paul was in constant communication with us. He arrived early to get a fire going for us as well as the jacuzzi warming. Remarkable home. Our entire family did not want to leave. It was our first time visiting Julien. When most think of Julien they think of the apples, cider, etc. For us now, and forever will the The Burgio Bungalow. Thank you so much for the gift. It warmed our hearts being here. We cannot wait to make another trip out that way again in the future.

Cabin Magic!
We enjoyed another fabulous stay at this wonderful cabin! There is so much space available, but the cabin still has such a welcoming cozy vibe. It's a perfect place for games, movies, cooking, relaxing, and enjoying nature ... super close to town as well! The perfect Julian retreat.
Our family was delighted by the magic of this cabin. It was just what we needed after a stressful year and crazy holiday. It is definitely one of the most well equipped homes I have stayed in. We made all of our meals at the cabin and never once were shorthanded of supplies. We used the Jacuzzi during a light snowfall and set by the belly stove every night. Looking forward to coming back!!

Spider webs everywhere. Was accused of breaking a cupboard handle after checkout via text messaged photos taken by a third party and not owner. Was excited about staying here but when it is insinuated that we are careless and break things, maybe an inventory plan or checklist of newly refurbished areas of concern should be documented. For the price we payed, it seems they try to find issues with how bad you left the home instead of thanking you for staying. Lost a customer and all federal law enforcement co workers who inquired about the cabin initially.

Keep in mind this is a mountain home tiny spider webs pop up every week. We knock them down weekly and they come back. As far as the cabinet handle I was the last one in my home and the third party pic was from my sister that took the pic upon arrival. She has been doing an excellent job cleaning and has been with me the past 10 years. Most likely it came off from your child or someone else in your party and didn't tell you. Remember I didn't charge you for it and said no big deal. For the record I have never back charged anybody for breaking something! Accidents happen! I am very proud of my home and have many 5 star ratings with customers returning yearly. Paul

Property is amazing! The pictures do not do justice. The history and charm alone is worth it. Only thing NO air conditioning… one small unit downstairs none upstairs, so we were roasting. Other than that completely satisfied. Paul the owner was great!

I just learned from my guess Cathy Allister that the young gentleman that arrived first forgot to mention to her that I just installed a brand new whole house fan in the upstairs hallway ceiling, turn in on when it starts cooling down drawing in cool air from the outside. Plus my new larger air condition is on order.

My husband and I had a very relaxing time in the cabin. I loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, relaxing in the hammock, and hanging out in the jacuzzi. The upstairs shower and bathroom and amazing! It was quite hot on the days of our stay, and although there is an in-wall AC unit in the living room, the bedrooms were stuffy and quite warm. We will be booking another trip to the cabin so we can sit outside and look at the starry nights.

Great birthday weekend
Three families shared this great space for a 50th birthday getaway. The kitchen has every gadget and appliance you could need, the rooms are all wonderfully decorated, and the outdoor space is terrific! The birthday boy had a fabulous afternoon nap on the hammock on the upstairs deck. Outdoor dining at the big table is very nice. Everyone in the group already wants to schedule another stay. Thank you, Paul. Your cabin home is a special place.

This was our second stay here, and there were many improvements, which just added to the comfort and relaxation of our stay. A beautiful setting, combined with all the amenities and features you could wish for. I cannot recommend this place more. The owner Paul is very easy to communicate with, as well as being very accommodating. I would call this cabin a hidden gem for traveling to Julian or surrounding locales.

Beautiful authentic cabin with all amenities!
We rented this cabin for my birthday. Paul was very accommodating, let us check in a little early, made us feel very welcomed. This is a must rental if staying in Julian. Its beautiful and has all the amenities. We didn't want to leave! Definitely plan on renting again and for a longer period next time. Thank you Paul!

Perfect get away weekend and 16th bday celebration
Great property, quiet location, perfect weekend full of snow, and a very nice, accommodating owner. My wife and I took our daughter up to the Julian area to stay and celebrate her 16th birthday with 8 of her friends. Couldn’t do hikes as planned but with all the snow it couldn’t have been any better. Hot tub while snowing was a hit. The kids found lots to do inside and outside the well appointed cozy cabin. 8 mins from Main Street Julian and 10 mins back to Wynola. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful, relaxing, and fun filled time at the cabin and in Julian. The creatures both inside and outside the cabin were a hit with the kids. The cabin is so well stocked-it is amazing. Fun large cabin close to Julian with lots of deer around
We truly enjoyed our stay and plan on being back! The house has 5 bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, a fun outdoor space with a hot tub and the best host. I give Paul 5 stars for sure, really communicative and flexible, accommodating of our 2 year old toddler needs (and some messes too) and so responsive. We saw many deer right on the cabin’s driveway early in the morning, so cool for the kid (and for us!). Also the property is a 5 min drive to Julian which is great for some shopping and going for a quick drink. Loved it!

Our stay was great! The place looked as pictured but with more taxidermy haha. My favorite part was the AMAZING VIEW from the balcony and the gorgeous table outside with string lights. Such a great place to hang out with loved ones and unwind. Bathing was kind of difficult, but we made it work. Didn’t need to use it much anyway.

The house is lovely and well stocked. Paul was communicative and easy to work with. The house has limited cooling, which is challenging on summer nights. It was a nice place to stay socially distanced.

Yes summer time can get warm in Julian. The air conditioner downstairs works great but upstairs is warm. I will be installing a whole house fan soon to bring in the cool night breeze throughout the upstair rooms.

A place that stirs your soul!
What a wonderful property and area. The lodge is perfect for groups of friends/families. Lots of nooks and rustic touches throughout. Jacuzzi with a mountain view...nothing like being in a jacuzzi with snow falling! Kitchen very well appointed, no need to bring all those spices and oils! Paul has literally thought of everything and communication excellent. We've stayed in numerous VRBO properties and this one is very special. Looking forward to returning in 2020!
