"Right across the river from the Musée de la Bande Dessinée! Requires a bit of an uphill hike to get to the center of town but there are also easy nearby bus stops to take you there. Service was fantastic, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is pretty neat. No AC though. "

"We had a great week and this house, it’s a fantastic property well equipped for 3 families with 7 children all under the age of 13. The terrace and pool area were perfect for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine. We had a slight issue with the freezer that was dealt very promptly by the helpful and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend this as a place for friends and family for a get together."

"Wonderful hosts that were unobtrusive but on hand when needed for help and advice. The pool is beautiful to relax in and by, located in a tranquil a garden setting. I would highly recommend the property as either a one or two night stopover when going further into France or as a base for a longer stay to explore the larger cognac region."

The area is full of things to see and do, and the locals are very friendly.Unfortunately and through no fault of the owners, problems with the VRBO App made communication with them very difficult prior to arrival. The Gite has everything one could need, with good size rooms, an outside area for dinning plus the use of the owners swimming pool. The owner were so kind and helpful and made us feel really welcome, we wished we had booked for two weeks not the one. If we return to the area for a holiday would stay nowhere else."
