"No frills hotel room with a reasonable price for Chicago and a great location to walk downtown. Also has parking very near for Chinatown at 18.99 for 24 hrs."

"I was pleasantly surprised about how upscale and beautiful the hotel was. The room was great with all the amenities and decor especially for the price I got. However there were some issues and my ratings shouldnt have been so high.
Someone nextdoor spent hours singing and talking on a phone in the bathroom and I could here it LOUD and clear, but on the bright side at 4am staff was there quickly to address.
I could have used a map or directory showing where the fitness room, ice dispensers, etc, were. Could have been one was avaliable and I was too lazy to find one but nothing was offered.
And although the restaurant and lounge area were nice as far as i could tell there was nowhere to get microwave popcorn and soda late at night 😅. Probably I dont stay in enough hotels like this and vending machine are a big cheesy no no! Also would have liked a place to get a quick pastry or snack, especially in the morning, before going out.
So overall, my daughter will be going to U of Chicago which was within walking distance and we were surprised and pleased with the hotel. It was upscale and beautiful for the price. There were shortcomings but we would stay here again and recommend it while mentioning the above. "

"Our host was so kind and very reasonable! The listing makes it sound quite strict, but I will say if you are a traveler who respects the spaces you stay in they are not strict at all! Basic human decency is all they ask so if you can't do that maybe not the place for you, but if you can do that this is a fabulous place to stay! The space is so big and such a great price in such a great area. The hosts are there if you need anything at all and even gave a lot of local recommendations which was so nice! We were there on a work trip and so it was nice to not have to do a ton of research to figure out where we should go for meals and what not. The train is so close by and none of the ubers we paid for to get downtown were very expensive which is so nice. The beds were very comfortable and the space was just delightful. Thank you for letting us stay! :)"
"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home! Neighborhood is nice and peaceful. Our host, Cornell was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again."
"We were so thankful for a nice place to come back to after long days of adventure in Chicago! An honest review: it was our first time in Chicago. When we arrived, we weren’t sure about the neighborhood and had trouble finding the house, since all the buildings looked similar and we arrived at night. Also, as noted, street parking is first come, first serve, and it was very full, which threw us off a bit—but it is listed as such in the VRBO booking. We also didn’t realize the entry code was for the door to the unit, not the front gate, but our host came right away to help. He was so kind, showed us how to get in, and gave us a quick tour. Once we figured out the neighborhood, parking, and entry code, it was easy peasy. The unit itself was small but very comfortable—perfect for our stay. The living room carpet could use a good cleaning, and the kitchen had a funny smell, but everything else was clean and welcoming. The beds were comfy, there were TVs in every room, and all the essentials were provided. The bathroom door didn’t close completely, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The shower water pressure was on the lighter side, but the bathroom itself was very nice.We didn’t use the kitchen much aside from the microwave, but the necessities were provided. Just note it has a mini fridge, not a full-size one, and I don’t think there was a freezer. The small laundry area was very convenient and worked perfectly for our needs.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Ch"
"We have statues at this location multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. The location is close to everything and is a very walkable neighborhood. The owner is responsive and very helpful!"
