Respectful October 2023 Visit

We absolutely loved this unit. After a 6 hour flight and several more hours waiting for bags, getting groceries and driving from the airport, we couldn’t have asked for a better condo. Traveling with a 7 month old and 10 year old is not always easy and as soon as we opened the door we felt right at home. The unit is spotlessly clean, the beds (king and sofa) were very comfortable, the lanai, ocean view and first floor location were perfect. It’s a good thing the pools closed at 8pm, otherwise our 10 year old might never have gone to bed. The pools are literally steps from the unit. Also, there is a pocket door separating the kitchen from the bedroom/bathroom. It was a wonderful surprise that gave us extra buffer when our 7 month old was asleep in the bedroom. The only thing we didn’t have was more vacation time to stay on Maui. We all agreed we’d be back. Extra kudos to Fereshteh for being an exceptionally responsive and helpful host. When you visit please keep in mind that West Maui is still raw and hurting from the August fires. We led with respect and kindness and we were met with Aloha.

Great location with a view of the water, easy access from parking lot and walk right out to the beach. It says it sleeps 4 but it’s very small. We had 3 for a couple days and it was a little crowded, but I’d stay here again with just 2 of us

Our best stay in Maui

Fereshteh was super-quick to respond to our inquiries due to a rental pivot. She was able to arrange for a quick cleaning which allowed us to check-in early. The condo was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. We especially loved being able to walk out to the beach every night to watch the sunset. Overall, one of our most relaxing vacations in Maui!

Amazing trip

What an amazing trip. This is our 3rd time to Maui, but our first time saying in Kaanapali Shores. It is in a great location, and has everything you need on property or within walking distance. We saw whales everyday from the beach, and spent tons of time playing in the pool. What an amazing time. The condo is well equipped, quiet, and has a view of the ocean from the lanai and the bedroom. Great trip.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. The complex seems to be a bit older, but the condo was nice and had everything we needed. We liked having a ground floor unit with washer/dryer inside. There is a smaller beach area in front of the complex that appears during low tide. Otherwise, it’s rocky. But the neighboring complex has a larger beach area that is adjoined and just steps from this one. It’s also an easy walk to the boardwalk and the larger Ka’anapali beach area. Restaurants and a grocery store are in short walking distance too. Overall, we’d look at staying here again next time we visit Maui.

Great location

We rented 2 suites at this resort for a family vacation. Our adult children stayed in this one. Great resort. Spacious suite. Beautiful beach. A few minor issues that our kids didn’t tell us about with the room and when reported, owner was a bit defensive because we didn’t tell her on day 1. Not a deal breaker for staying there but the tone was not what I would expect from a VRBO owner. All the reviews are 5 stars. Ours isn’t just because of the emails. Otherwise great spot!

PERFECT Location and host!

Upon arrival the check-in process was seamless. We opened the front door only to reveal our gorgeous 1 bedroom condo for the week.. THEN... you open the patio doors to paradise. The beach is 30 steps away from the patio and the pool (s) are steps away from the front door. The parking is only steps away from the condo. The location couldn't be more perfect and convenient. Any issues that may have arose, it took less than 5 minutes for a response and less than an hour to be completely taken care of! We found Maui to be our new destination to paradise and we can only hope THIS property and THIS specific condo are available each and every year for us to rent!

Don’t recommend.

Location - right next to the dumpster and the smoking section… nothing like trash and smoke smell all week. The room was similar to a rundown super 8, not clean, the beds were not comfortable and didn’t really feel comfortable staying there. There was 1 box of Kleenex with 2 tissues in it, lack of dishes had us running dishwasher daily, and the demands by the host made us feel like we had to leave it cleaner than when we came. We were not impressed in the least and will not recommend nor stay here again.

good location

The property was conveniently located and clean when we arrived. However there were a swarm of ants on the lanai / balcony. It was actually impossible to use it. The ants were so prevalent that you couldn’t step out there without having ants all over your feet. The balcony actually is just 10feet away from a large commercial size garbage which is where the parking is. While conveniently located and close to parking, if you plan to use the lanai then this is not the property for you. Separately, we had a broken washer that washed our clothes but would not drain. We were stuck with broken washer the entire duration of our stay. As advised by the property manager, Maui is a small island and impossible to find repair/service personnel. If you have a baby, I would recommend booking directly with Aston kshores so that if there is a broken washer then you could ask gem to swap a unit. Aside from the washer, the unit was clean and the property manager was very responsive!

Unit is in a great location on the property, extremely close to the pool. Clean and well furnished. Very responsive owner. Short walk to beach as property itself has a rocky shoreline. Good variety of shopping and restaurants in close proximity to resort. Nice to have pools (garden pool is lovely), bar, and restaurant in center of property.

Great location both for the property and the unit. A mere 30 second walk to the beach or pool/hot tub. All the accommodations needed for a long stay. Host was very quick and great at communication. Great Location!

Close to grocery store and food trucks, not to mention a view of the ocean with a beach just steps away. There was live music poolside both evenings we hung out there, which was nice and unexpected. The on-site gym is well equipped with much more space, machines and free weights than a typical hotel. We spent a lot of time exploring Maui but enjoyed our time at this unit as well. Slept great in the comfy bed and were never disturbed with outside noise. It suited our needs for the week very well.

Unit was nice. I read reviews about needing updated but thought everything was nice and modern. Perfect location. The kitchen and living room area is amazing. Loved the huge tall patio doors. This unit was perfect for our needs. My one complaint is the living room arear TV. There is a big, open living room with a couch on one side and this little tiny tv all the way on the other. TV's are too inexpensive not to have one a bit bigger that you can actually watch. Either way I will be back.

Loved the unit

We loved the location of this unit. It was close to outdoor parking and we were able to load and unload via the patio door. With our daughter and her family in another resort, they were able to come and pick us up and drop us off easily with a 30 minute grace period for parking. There was a little misunderstanding about checking in as the front desk and unit manager are REALLY separate. In checking in for parking and towel cards we were also allowed to go to our unit. Apparently we were to check with the unit manager before actually entering the unit. But all went well and we had a very nice time.
