The property was exceptional. We appreciate all the beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, and coolers). The beach and the pool were easy to access. Duke restaurant was a bonus on property. The sunsets from the lanai were the best part. We had the most wonderful time.

Fantastic views!

The condo is beautiful and the views are breath taking! It’s a great location for getting to beaches and restaurants. It was very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay there again. The lanai was perfect for whale watching!

The condo was very clean and perfect for our family of 5! Pools ane beach access were very close, parking was easy and some restaurants/grocery stores within a short walk. We miss paradise!

Wonderful place for family to stay

This condo is beautiful. Stocked with almost everything our family of 4 needed ( would have loved boggie boards). We used the wagon, chairs and cooler almost daily down at the beach. The pools and slide were a hit with my boys. The beds were comfortable and the AC works great. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property

Our family of 4 (daughters age 10 and 13) had a wonderful stay in this spacious condo. The condo had everything we needed, was very comfortable and the location was excellent with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and grocery store. The property is beautiful and we loved the pools and the boardwalk. Jill and Monty were easy to communicate with if needed. We had a wonderful vacation, thank you Jill!

Awesome overall stay

The unit was nicely decorated, had toiletries, was clean. It was available 2 hours before check in. All our kids loved the pool and beaches. Extras like umbrellas, ice chest, chairs, sand toys, pack n play and high chair were excellent additions! All communication was prompt even on weekends. Security deposit was returned in a timely manner. Thanks for a great stay, we will be returning.

The unit is nicely equipped with everything you need and there are amazing views of the ocean and sunset every night right off the large, private balcony. It's in a great location that is walking distance to food trucks, a grocery store and snorkeling and paddleboard rentals. The onsite restaurant (Duke's) is very good also. All the staff here were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

We survived the attack of the ants !!

We survived the spraying bombing and more spraying. The nearest elevator wasOut of order so I cancelled my morning walk. And I would have loved a pot holder ( so I bought some and left them) and a cookie sheet for nachos and nuggets would have been nice BUT. The unit was Great, beds comfy loved the view the resort is lovely. Dukes hula pie was the best And we had a wonderful time. Hope to come again!

Honua Kai 206 - lovely stay

We were fortunate to be able to stay at Honua Kai recently and really enjoyed everything. There is a lot of room to spread out, kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook in, washer and dryer, beds were comfortable and a fabulous tub!! It really is a fantastic property. Jill and Monty were great. The only thing that was a bummer was the construction going on. While there is nothing that could be done and was far out of the owners control, it would have been nice to have been aware of the construction as it may have changed our decision on where to stay. It didn’t bother me so much but it did bother my husband.

Budget friendly place at our favorite condo location on Maui

Honua Kai gives you the best mix of location, price and amenities on the island. Has all the perks of incredible pools and other things you would get at a fancy hotel, but you get a kitchen and more space than at a hotel. Communication was great and the place was as advertised. Bed was one of the better ones I have slept on at a vrbo. As long as you know the price reflects what you get you'll be happy. We have stayed a few other times at honua kai in much nicer condos with incredible ocean views, but you definitely pay a lot more for one of those. Only real down sides of this place is only one bathroom and basically no ocean view. Would return if we come back with another couple that is more budget conscious.

Nicely equipped with everything you need and stunning views of the ocean and sunset every night right off the balcony. Location is excellent too as you’re close to Whaler’s Village, a major grocery store (within walking distance), activity rentals, the food trucks and many restaurants. If you’re into working out, the gym is awesome as well. The only disappointment was the lazy river was not working the week we were there. Other than that, we had a great trip (family of six adults) and will stay here every time we come to Maui. Mahalo!

Fabulous Vacation

We spent a little over a week in Maui and had an excellent time. Jill and Monty were both great to work with and our checkin process was seamless. I was a little reluctant about the bracelets but we ended up loving them since they gave us access to our room and the towel kiosks. No looking for your room key and everyone had access all the time. The condo was fully stocked and clean. The extra den was perfect for our family, which allowed for our kids to each have their own beds (14 and 12). We enjoyed the use of the beach chairs and body boards. Overall we had a great experience. The property grounds are nice and it was nice having Dukes on site; however, the property was overwhelmed with guests during our stay making it very difficult to find a spot at the pool or get in for dinner at Dukes. Book reservations prior to arrival or expect a 2 hr wait for dinner. There was a great pizza place right behind the resort that we went to when we wanted something quick. Overall we had a great time at a beautiful property!

Awesome Condo, perfect for our family of 4

Just wanted to say Thanks to Will & Monty for allowing us to stay at their condo, it was perfect for our vacation to Maui. The condo was very nicely decorated and well stocked with everything you could need. The closet was full of beach stuff that came in very handy, as well as the wheeled buggy to transport everything to the pool or beach. The den was surprisingly very spacious with plenty of storage and allowed the kids & parents some privacy from each other, overall the whole condo was very spacious. The lanai offered wonderful views over the mountains as well a little bit of the ocean, and was perfect for eating out on. Communication was great, Monty, the property manager, met us in the foyer on arrival with keycards etc and answered our questions. Duke's the onsite restaurant was excellent, kids loved the Hula Pie !!, the condo is also just a short walk from Whaler's village where there's lots of nice shops & restaurants. The elevator is close to the condo, and the gym is one floor down, all very convenient. Overall, I would have no hesitation recommending Will, Monty or the condo to friends, relatives, etc, we had a wonderful vacation and this condo would definitely be my first choice for returning, hopefully soon !!. Thanks Will.
