There is nothing negative about Shiroyama Hotel. The staff are extremely polite and the hotel and rooms are immaculate. It has a beautiful view overlooking Kagoshima with Sakurajima clearly visible.

It was amazing. The breakfasts were the best that we had our entire trip. I also loved the bakery. And the views of the volcano were heavenly. The help was also great! And the hotel itself was befitting of the views.

Very big hotel. Not an easy walk into the city. So you have to plan meals unless you’re happy to dine in the hotel restaurants. But lovely staff and nice rooms. We didn’t pay for a view of the sea and volcano. But still nice city view as you’re high on a hill. Would recommend for the price.

Really big hotel very popular with Japanese people. The best thing is the view of Sakurajima. Really amazing. Onsen is very strict with tattoos also with foreigners. Breakfast was huge but a bit messy. Room was ok. Good for a 2 night stay.

It’s a very grand hotel with amazing view of the Sakuajima. Loved the onsen! Great services and a good variety and quality of breakfast. The only thing that bothered me was the thin walls of the room it can get a bit noisy at night, but everything else was good enough to make up for the only problem. The hotel also has nice souvenir shops.

I booked, looking for a place to staycafter getting off the ferryvfrom Okinawa. When I arrived I realized this wasnt just a place to sleep. It's the city's "grand hotel". Set in gorgeous grounds, with more trails nearby in the mountain forest, it offers a large breakfast buffet and a huge onsen with indoor and outdoor pools - all of them with spectacular views over the city and volcano.
