Great place but not worth the hassle of dealing with the hosts
Royal Kahana is a great property, all workers were wonderful, and the condo has a great view.
With that said, I would not book with the sistas again.
They refused to send arrival instructions even after paying the Daily AC fee which is the only "required" item mentioned in their listing (e.g., "...daily AC fee of sixteen dollars required for all guests and is non-optional, subject to change. This is required to be paid prior to arrival instructions being shared with guest through the VRBO/Expedia platform").
They indicated all of the following was required even though their listing states "Upon booking please provide the following" (nowhere does it indicated required):
1. I like to know my guests. Send a photo of your smiling face for verification purpose. Please take a photo and message this to host through listing platform. If you do not know how to do this, call VRBO/Expedia and they can walk you through.
2. Names of all guests.
3. Emails and cell phones of all. Confirming your identity helps build trust with hosts.
4. Flight arrival on island.
5. Check in details are sent the day prior arrival.
We had to jump through multiple hoops to get the hosts a photo and then they rejected it because we had sunglasses on (are you kidding me). What a major pain this was and then they belittled us when we were unable to upload photos even after contacting VBRO tech support like they indicated we should do.
They are obviously profiling & VRBO should remove them.
