The view was amazing. The room was comfortable but the shower was quite cold. Also, the room was not lockable. The thing that let this property down was that the kitchen area was not very clean. There was dust on the tea bag container and there was old bits of food in the sink. It may be that another guest had messed up the sink, but there was nobody around to speak to about this.

Great B&B near seal colony

What a fantastic B&B! A beautiful house with amazing views of the ocean! There was a little confusion about check-in I would recommend calling ahead the day before just to make sure they know you’re coming. However, Peter answered the call immediately and got us checked in. The 2 outdoor kitties were adorable to watch as well.

A beautiful property in a great location. Very quiet, nicely decorated and a self serve breakfast was available. The gardens were stunning. My only negative is the room could do with the removal of the spiders in the corners.

Quaint B&B in a remarkable location. The view from the B&B is simply spectacular, walking distance to the seal colony (do not miss the hike), the town is nearby with plenty of eating venues. Pete was very hospitable, and even arranged dinner reservations for us. Clean, comfortable bed. Breakfast was self-serve continental.

We enjoyed our one night with Peter. Guests should be aware that though this is listed as a B&B the breakfast is a self service continental. Don’t expect to be served a hearty bacon and eggs. Still enjoyed our stay by the ocean.

Great Location at The Point

Pete is a fantastic host, beautiful view from my room. Although it's a working farm, the room was spotless as is the house. Really nice spread for breakfast. Easy walk to see the Seals at The Point & equidistant to Kaikoura Seafood BBQ, as well.

Beautiful old homestead with amazing sea views and morning sun. Hens on site for eggs and sheep to watch. Comfotable bed and excellent breakfast. Good value for money. Lots to do in Kaikoura so stay at least 2 nights.

Lovely and very laid back b&b in a great spot. You are treated as one of the family and the door is always unlocked. We left a shirt in the room when we left and Sarah posted it to us without any trouble. Can highly recommend

Very nice house and host. However, we reserved the front room with the ocean view and when we arrived we were given the back room with no view.

The home owner wasn’t there to meet us or to say goodbye. The property definitely doesn’t qualify as luxury as listed in description but rather an old house that hasn’t seen improvements in furnishings, plumbing or decor. We stayed in the room next to the owners private bedroom and bathroom as opposed to having a private entry and space. Breakfast consisted of cereal that was laid out at all times and looked stale, store bough bread that we were invited to toast, hot water for tea available from the faucet, and nespresso coffee. All self-serv. It felt unkept and uninviting. Definitely would not stay again or recommend. Glad it was only for one night and wish could get our money back.

Een hele fijne kamer in de B&B (direct aan het strand). De eigenaar Peter is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een prima ontbijt met hele verse eitjes. Peter heeft een schapenfarm waar hij met passie over vertelt en hij geeft ook scheerdemonstraties. Vanuit Kaikoura kun je goed walvissen en albatrossen kijken. De zeehondenkolonie is om de hoek van het B&B.

Schönes B&B, ein bisschen Ausserhalb

Sehr schönes Bed and Breakfast, ein bisschen ausserhalb vom Ort, aber dieser ist zu Fuss in ca 30-45min zu erreichen, oder schneller mit dem Auto. Sehr netter Host, schöner Ort und alles was man braucht. Gerne wider einmal!
