  • Our ground floor one bedroom (with Cal King bed) air conditioned condo offers luxury at an affordable price.

    Our unit is fully equipped with everything you will need to have a relaxing and memorable vacation. Remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, custom tiled bath, vessel sink, and a collection of fine artwork. Our accommodations will leave you inspired. No detail was overlooked. Our past guests have rave reviews!

    Kona Makai is an oceanfront community with pool, hot tub, two tennis courts, workout facility, and much more! This property is truly one of Kona's best kept secrets. The complex is surrounded by beautiful tropical flowers, trees, and shrubs. Our unit has no road noise, but is very close to the ocean. Every morning relax on the lanai and take in the view, let the sound of the ocean calm you and the smells of the tropical air lift your spirits.

    We provide lots of extras: shampoo and conditioners. laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, hair dryer, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, and snorkeling gear. Free high speed secured WI FI and telephone (local, US, & Canada calls). The kitchen has pots, pans, utensils, coffee grinder and maker, rice cooker, blender, juicer, and side by side refrigerator with ice maker. There is also a full size Bosch stackable washer and dryer.

Wonderful experience in a wonderful location

The location is close enough to town without being in town, the grounds are great to walk and enjoy. We ended a long trip with a few nights of downtime and it couldn't be better for Relaxing in Kona than this.

Perfect location

We had a great stay with the comforts of home. The condo was well stocked and we loved all the beach equipment they had available for us to use. The location is right in the heart of downtown Kona and was a good launching point for day trips around the island.

A very pleasant complex to come home to

The property is plenty adequate for those traveling the island, almost resort-like when you need it, and close to town when you want to be. Hosts are super nice and the condo is well maintained.

Perfect Inside and Out

We throughly enjoyed our stay and the owners respond quickly and are a delightful to work with. The unit is very spacious and clean. King bed, living room and lanai furniture, very comfortable. The unit has a washer and dryer and a well equipped kitchen, a must for us. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and parking was nearby and very safe. Of course the best is the sound of the ocean and birds along with the gorgeous sunsets. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely home with us.

Great place to stay

This property really was awesome! The condo was very clean and comfy, and the location was great. After long days of sight seeing and activities, it was such a pleasure to come back to the condo and relax. The hot tub and pool on the property were a great way to unwind and cool off. The kitchen had everything we needed for storing and cooking our own meals (which saved us a lot of money), and the lanai was the perfect place to eat. The bathroom was stocked with great shampoo and conditioner. The king size bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this place, and If I make it back to Hawaii I hope this unit is available to rent.

Perfect Bog Island vacation condo

The condo was super cute and clean and came equipped with all the coolers, totes, beach chairs, boogie boards, and kitchen equipment you could ask for. The AC was wonderful and access to a gated pool and hot tub just as pictured. Loved this VRBO!

This unit was stocked with anything you might need for your stay. It is clean, very nice and just as pictured. The owners are quick to respond and very helpful. The grounds of the condo are very well maintained and the pool is great. Would recommend and stay here again.

Great property, great condo!

We really enjoyed our condo at Kona Makai! It was very well stocked with kitchen items, linens, beach chairs etc. Everything you need for a beach vacation was here. Owner was very prompt to reply when we had a plumbing problem and resolved within 24 hours. We were fortunate enough to extend our stay in this unit and we will be back!
