Important Notice – Renovations at Kona Reef (2026–2027)

Kona Reef will be undergoing a structural and resurfacing project from January 2026 through May 2027.
During this period, guests may experience:

Construction noise (jackhammers, saws, compressors, etc.)
Scaffolding and no lanai access while work is in progress
Limited parking availability at times

For Building B, work is currently scheduled for January 5 – February 2, 2026.
Work is scheduled Monday–Friday, and dates may shift due to weather or unforeseen repairs.

Despite the renovations, Kona Reef remains a beautiful oceanfront resort in the heart of Kona. Mahalo for your understanding!

Kona / Keauhou
The sunny Kona district is known for its clear waters and historic Hawaiian landmarks such as the Hulihe’e Palace, Moku’aikaua Church and Ahu’ena Heiau, about 8 miles south of the Keahole-Kona Airport.  Kona is also known for its famous deep-sea fishing, annually hosting the International Billfish Tournament (August), world championship triathlon race, ironman (October) and Kona coffee in the cooler upland slopes. Enjoy daily activities such as  snorkeling, diving, paddling, watching spinner dolphins and Hawaiian sea turtles casually swimming by the beach, or watch the boats go by while having a meal or a cocktail on Alii drive.

Keauhou Bay is located at the end of Kamehameha III Road, southern kailua Kona, named as the site of the birthplace of King Kamehameha III.

- If not staying for both holidays, check-in and check-out must fall between December 26–29.
