Top Floor Oceanfront Studio #311 W/LANAI and A/C


COOL A/C IS AVAILABLE when ocean breezes aren't enough.
Unit # 311 - We have one of the few units in the building with an ACTUAL outdoor patio to enjoy the beautiful ocean view, which is direct ocean front, with famous Magic Sands Beach right next door! And with our COOL A/C, you couldn't ask for
a better place to stay! Magics Beach Grill, the onsite restaurant, is open right downstairs.
Our unit includes a 55" big screen TV with Blu Ray player, Netflix and free WIFI access, stereo system, along with extra bedding and linens. There is a large collection of DVD's and books to enjoy as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with small appliances including microwave, blender, coffeemaker, rice maker and coffee grinder along with glasses, pots, pans, silverware, and various seasonings and spices. The kitchen and bath have granite counters. The bathroom shower has a raised shower head for our taller guests.
We've also added plenty of extra amenities like extra large beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers, picnic blankets, boogie boards and beach umbrellas for your afternoons at the local beaches. We've provided fishing poles and binoculars for whale and fish watching from the lanai. There are two BBQ's on site by the oceanfront pool and a coin-op laundry room downstairs. Free assigned parking spot for one car is also included.
Please note that there is no elevator in the building and we are located on the top floor (third floor), but it's worth the steps for the fantastic views!
We are conveniently located within 2-3 miles of downtown Kailua-Kona and all it's inviting shops and restaurants.

My husband and I are so happy we chose this place. The view from the balcony was amazing. Place was well stocked we did not cook dinner in the kitchenette but enjoyed our coffee on the balcony each morning. Location was perfect we would love to stay here again! Jan was very communicative and the condo was exactly as described. She had everything you could need for a week on the Big Island. We took advantage of the mini cooler on day trip, the snorkel gear, the beach towels & chairs next door, and spent every morning on the lanai with our coffee. She also had a fully stocked kitchen to cook anything, including seasonings. The waves were loud and the best sound to fall asleep to every night and wake up to every morning. Location was also great for anything in Kona, or getting around the island. Would absolutely stay here again! Mahalo for an amazing time in Hawaii!

Great views from room. Room had everything we needed to enjoy our days at the beach. Having Magic’s Grill downstairs was wonderful after a day of exploring. Jan is easy to work with. Building is worn down, needs some updating and clean up. Early mornings of construction and street traffic.

We loved everything about the condo. It had all the supplies you needed. The view from the balcony just amazing. Listening to the waves was incredible and we saw whales and dolphins right from the balcony! Highly recommend this condo for your vacation.

Perfect location + well appointed condo

We loved our stay at Magic Sands. The location was perfect for our daily trips exploring the island. We loved the view from the lanai while sipping our morning coffee as well as our nightly mai tai and listening to the crashing waves. I highly recommend this property.

Seriously, BOOK THIS!! You WILL NOT be sorry!!!! My husband and I spent 6 nights at this lovely rental and it was amazing. We saw dolphins our first morning! Enjoyed Kona coffee on the balcony every morning and sunsets in the evening. It is walking distance (across the parking lot) to Magic Sands (very popular beach) so if you feel like going to the beach, a short stroll and you’re there! The rental has EVERYTHING you need for a Hawaiian vacation (so go there first and check it out before you buy a bunch of stuff). Location was close to everything and wonderful. Very easy check out! We just loved our stay here!

Amazing view!

Excellent place to stay with an amazing lanai for gorgeous sunsets every evening! Location perfect for exploring the island, beach next door & great restaurant below. Stocked with basics for cooking, tons of beach gear & plenty of towels. Pool area is really nice. We loved everything about the place! Would definitely stay here again!

Oceanfront Studio for two

Oceanfront is impressive. We had nice meals on the balcony, the view and ambiance is unforgettable . Location is perfect for staying in Kona. Magic Sand just disappeared, so we traveled to other places. Nice snorkeling at 4mi bay, walking close to the studio

Perfect location and AMAZING oceanfront view!

Best kept secret on Kona coast is no more! Condo had everything we needed for our stay! Great to have the beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers to use. We really appreciated the AC on a few very humid days we had. Nice location on island for traveling north, south or east to Hilo! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

A magical stay

We were so happy during our time here. The lanai was the star of the show - we could watch fish, snorkelers, and the beautiful sunset. One morning we even saw dolphins! The property had everything we needed to get our beach mode on. We loved the convenient location and being able to run next door for a snack when we didn’t feel like cooking.

Everything we needed!

Entire process was super smooth with easy check in.Can't beat the view and first time for us ever finding the sound of the ocean actually too loud! We got used to it and now miss it! We didn't use the pool or local beach as we were away during most days sightseeing... did walk from condo into downtown kona twice. Able to rent blue bikes with a station directly across from condo. Magics grill on site was one of our favourites - very nice to have so handy after a long day.

Another great trip to the big island

This is the second time we have stayed in this unit, showing a little wear. Super comfortable bed, clean, everything we needed to make breakfast. The complex is getting pretty rundown, and the pool deck is so hot. You can’t even walk on it when you get out of the pool. That was kind of a bummer. Lots of construction going on also. Didn’t bother us , but if you like to sleep in, it could be a problem. Nice to have the restaurant downstairs. Great place for a homebase to travel around the island.

Magic Sands is Magic

Probably one of the best properties in the Kona area if you want to be on the ocean with the ocean views. Property was well described in listing, and found to be very adequate in all respects. Did find the stairs to be a bit of a burden due to age and health. Would have been nice to have a hot shower, but that may be true for the whole building. Loved our ten days at this location and this facility and at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Location and views were as expected. We go to Hawaii annually, really like the Kona area, but our first stay at this VRBO. Jan was quick to respond when we didn't have hot water. Once we knew it was a breaker issue, we just had to flip it back every few minutes when showering. Minor issue and everything else was great. Thanks.

Great views

We arrived and had 3rd floor room- best for views. But someone is going to have to lug the luggage up those stairs- so bring some muscles. Clean room and beautiful ocean views. Bathroom is small and windows lead out to walkway (which all can hear). Also ran out of hot water on a few occasions. Otherwise it was a real paradise and close to many walking adventures and next to a very public beach. Gorgeous place and views!

Great Location - Ocean Sounds!

We stayed here the week before Christmas and had a great visit! This condo is close to downtown but far enough away to not really be in town. There is some traffic noise (as it is right on Alii Drive) but we loved that if we left the sliding doors open to the ocean, the sound of the waves completely covered the traffic sounds. (we do love ocean sounds others may not) The host provides plenty of beach equipment, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. It was nice to have all these things. Loved having Magic Sands beach right next door, and a short drive to Kahalu'u Beach Park for a different beach experience. Overall, a great place to stay!

Pros and Cons - but worth it!

Overall the room is a bit dated, but it has what you would need (and rooms are undergoing renovation). There’s negatives and positives.Positives: GREAT location, right next to magic sands beach and magic sands grill. Just a 5 minute drive to downtown Kona. The amenities such as boogie boards and lounge chairs are much appreciated. It was fantastic being able to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves every night, even with the lanai closed. Negatives: The bathroom is very small to where the shower door hits the side of the toilet when opened. The kitchen appliances are old and the toaster smelled like burning rubber and did not work well. There’s a lot of stuff left over in the cabinets that are expired, such as spices and cooking spray. The amount of TV remotes is crazy (at least 5 or 6) and the directions on how to work it are not clear.

Awesome stay with everything nearby

We enjoyed our stay here. The condo was the perfect size for a couple. Convenient to everything you may need. The sunsets either from the lanai or from the parks on either side of the complex are fantastic. Most days were just morning snorkels at 4 Mile or behind the condo and boogie boarding at Magic Sands - both within walking distance. If we want to go somewhere, it was easy to get in and out of the complex even during the middle of the day. If you didn't want to go out, we found it easy to make a meal in the condo or break out the grill by the pool - everything we needed to cook was there. Don't want to cook? Call Magic's Grill, wait 15 minutes, walk downstairs and pick up some good local dishes. We eat carry out on the lanai most nights as we watched the sunset - the place rocks.
