Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant
Lovely hotel and very attentive staff, who helped us acquire dinner after the kitchen was going to be closed upon our arrival. Rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and close to VNP. The very large jug of potable water was greatly appreciated.

Chalet Kilauea
Clean room with everything you need. Couple fans, wall mounted fireplace heater, dehumidifier which kept the room dry enough though bit louder. Bigger bath with separate dressing area. Very close to Volcano NP and the communication with the host was top notch. Not much food options near Volcano NP ...

Lokahi Lodge
Location great. Clean room but carpet stains everywhere. Bathroom sink meant for a 6 ft person. Needs updates. Not worth almost $200/night.

Private guest house on gorgeous tropical 3 acre estate perfect central location.
We had a wonderful stay. If you want an authentic stay, this is the place. 5 star Pros: host, location, property Cons: Kitchen, manual dish cleaning, fan.

Volcano gem...cozy getaway close to volcano and hilo's best beaches
If you like quiet, remote and clean with friendly hosts- this is your place. The bed was super comfortable. The stars can be vividly seen at night and the coqi frogs lull you to sleep.
