  • I took this photo in Messinia, Greece in summer 2016. It's of Voidokilia Beach and it's surroundings. Voidokilia Beach is on the Peloponnese peninsula and it was the most picturesque beach that I visited during that Greek trip, which was almost exclusively in Messinia. On that mountain is Nestor's Cave and above this are the ruins of a 13th-century Frankish castle (Old Navarino or Palaiokastro). Look closely and you will see :). I didn't get to walk up there. It was brutally hot that day and I spent most of the time at the beach. But, I did make time for some hiking. Near where I took this photo there was a lot of medieval or ancient ruins. Near those beautiful rocks. I had to be careful when walking on them, but it was worth it!

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Castello. The owner was so welcoming, he made us feel at home and had great recommendations ! The hotel is very nice and so well located, across the street from the castle and the beach. The room was very comfy. We will definitely come back!

Little Gem

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, double balcony with castle and sea view. If I returned I would definitely stay here. Fantastic restaurant opposite. The hotelier is extremely helpful and made sure we caught the bus to Kalamata and organised the taxi for us

Accueil au top! Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute, disponibles, attentifs et toujours soucieux de la qualité de notre séjour. Chambre confortable, agréable, literie bonne. Chambre climatisée, télé. Salle de bain pratique (bonne pression de l'eau, eau chaude et produits de toilettes). Petit balcon agréable et calme. La situation de l'hôtel est vraiment idéale, 3 min à pied du château, 4 min à pied de la plage, un parking gratuit à 2min à pied, restaurants à proximité, et petites supérettes à moins de 10min! Petit déjeuner correct, bon rapport qualité prix.

Siamo sta accolti dal gestore moto gentile i disponibile. La camera è pulita e accogliente. Con il terrazzo vista castello. Il gestore ci ha consigliato un ristorante molto buono Co prezzi onesti. Consiglio x visitare la zona. Unico neo il bagno un po' buio.

Fantastiskt hotell, rent och fräscht. Angela och Aris som äger hotellet är jättetrevliga och hjälpsamma. Centralt läge med liten grön innergård på baksidan. Kommer att bo där igen. Rekommenderar verkligen detta ❤️

Das Hotel hat alles was man braucht. Die Gastgeberin Angela ist serh freundlich und man kann ein sehr gutes Frühstück für gerade mal 5€ bestellen. Sehr empfehlenswert. Methoni an sich finde ich allerdings ziemlich langweilig...

Très bon hotel

Hotel très bien situé en face de la forteresse. Les restaurants sont proches ainsi que la plage . L'accueil est sympathique et le petit-déjeuner pris dans le patio permet de bien lancer la journée.
