The hosts are beautiful people with extensive knowledge of the island. They're so kind and accommodating. They left snacks in the fridge and in the kitchen. It's so clean and so peaceful, I cannot express my gratitude enough to Dimitris and Anastasia! The local restaurants are within only moments walking around the corner. The locals are so kind. "Asteri hotel is a welcoming family-run hotel which is located 10-15 on foot from the centre of Scala. The owners are there to accommodate your needs and make you feel at home. The room was spacious and the balcony had a spectacular view towards Chita and the castle. The garden looked like a small paradise. The hotel was clean and well maintained although the room could be renovated to include more modern amenities. They gave us free breakfast which was so kind of them, however there were not many options, especially for vegan travellers like me. Overall it was a great stay and I’d be happy to return!"
