The Neighborhood:
We are located in an agriculture area so remember that the sights and sounds of farm life is common. They include but are not limited to cows, horses, and occasional farm equipment, especially in the fall when harvesting and weaning occur.
Getting Around:
This home is near downtown and has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.
Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.

Super convenient, comfy room with good bedding. Easy to find, check in and park. I didn’t hear any farm noise and really enjoyed this place that is full of thoughtful touches
This was the perfect place to stay! Close to multiple national parks, monuments, and trailheads. Great stargazing, sunset views, and the town of Kanab had everything you could need. Easy check in, clean, AC worked well, and the Keurig for coffee was a lifesaver!
I loved staying here. The room had everything I needed and was clean, bright and up to date. The location was perfect, and I enjoyed sitting outside and watching the clouds pass by. Host was very accommodating. I highly recommend this place.
Great location for hiking 3 national parks. Zion,Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon all between 1-11/2 hr drive. Clean a quiet room to rest before your next days adventure.
Property exactly as described. Very clean, loved the attention to detail and decor. Communication with host was awesome!!! Great place to stay and a good central location.
This is the second time we have booked here. It is a wonderful location, quiet area and very clean. The bed is comfortable, and the amenities were perfect for what was needed. The host is wonderful to work with and great with communication when needed. We will book with them again in the future.
This property has to be the cleanest place I've ever stayed. It is just out of town in a more rural area so pretty quiet. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend Zions Shadows.
My room was super clean, cute, & had everything I needed for my few days in Kanab. I felt safe in the space and the manager lives very close if you need anything. Great lighting inside & out. Convenient parking in front of your room.
Shado was extremely helpful with prompt communication. My room was comfortable, warm and close to everything. The wind made the whole building shake! A great place for a short stay!
My husband and I took a short weekend adventure down to Kanab and were stunned by not just the outdoors, but this property as well. It was out away from town, so very quiet. Even with the trucks going back and forth into the farms, we didn’t notice it much. It was just a hope skip and jump to everything Kanab could offer. When we come back again, we will definitely staying here.
I so enjoyed staying at this property. The house was quaint and clean and perfect for my week long stay. The hosts were so helpful and communicative and when the whole town was unexpectedly without power for several hours, they quickly hooked up a generator and I didn’t have to worry. I also loved sitting on the back porch after a long day. Beautiful surroundings and beautiful little home.
This is a really space-efficient place to stay for two people. It was very clean and appointed exactly as described. It worked perfectly for us and was very quiet (no cows while we were there). I'd compare it to a nicely appointed motel room but without any shared walls. We used it as a base to visit Zion and Bryce and I won't hesitate to book it again on our next trip.
My fiancé and I stayed here for a short weekend trip to visit Bryce Canyon National Park. We’ve stayed in Kanab before and really like that area. The suite was perfect for our trip. We didn’t spend a lot of time there but it was so nice to know we had a beautiful and clean place to come home to after a long day of hiking! Safety and privacy is also big for us when we travel and we had zero anxiety about that during our stay. We appreciated the modern accommodations and responsive communication with the property manager!
Perfect 3-day stay for recently retired couple. Owner communication was excellent. Property was new, clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely view. Little refrigerator even had a small freezer to keep small bag of ice. Quiet location but near to all Kanab services. We drove to North Rim Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and the day we left continued on to Grand Staircase and Bryce Canyon. Drives were wonderfully scenic, especially if not in a hurry. Definitely recommend.
Communication with the owner was very responsive. This newer building/rental was very clean (a total of five units, no one else was there but us in #2), quiet, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches. Those included: charging station, adjustable bedside lamp, Keurig with many different coffees/teas and cups, lids, napkins and plasticware. Also two waters in the little refrigerator and a hook on the back of the bathroom door. Additionally, since there was no closet, a built in rack was stationed by the front door to hang some clothes. There are breezeways between each of the units so there are literally no common walls, and each unit has a nice sitting area out back with a table and chairs. We were there in the summer, and the AC unit worked great. Very good lighting in bathroom and plentiful water pressure. Would absolutely stay here again!
