We had stayed at the lodge in June and had a 10/10 experience. This time was a little different. We were met with a 25 dollar resort fee which was reinstated the day before our arrival and was not disclosed to us prior to providing our credit card. Hotel guests were primarily not wearing markings or practicing social distancing. Both which were non issues on our previous visit.

The property needs major renovations for the price point that is being charged.

Amenities were great. Pool and game rooms fun for kids. Had to walk to other hotel outside to get to pool and restaurants though. Restaurants are expensive for what you get. Food is good though. Room was plain and could use some updating.

Beautiful location but the building is in major need of a renovation. All aspects of the hotel are low in quality. Rooms are very noisy.

Usually this hotel is great. This weekend was extremely busy, which was expected, but the food service at Forte's for breakfast was horrible. I think it was just our server because it looked like other tables were getting served, but we had a toddler and a baby, and it seemed they put us all together in a hidden corner and forgot about us. Not impressed.
We got upgraded to the Crosswaters Resort so I can't specifically say how Mount Kids was. It did seem to be very family friendly so I'm glad we were moved as we went for a couples retreat.
Great mountain location BUT the facilities (Manor) requires updating or better cleaning. Simple cleaning like grout cleaning in bathtub would make huge difference. Re-siliconing in bathroom is desperately required and it is utterly surprising that in a so called 3+ hotel it isn’t. New pool facility is great but access is pathetic. It’s a fully self use environment yet it doesn’t become operational until 8:00. That’s absolutely ridiculous. This needs to be fully operational (hot tub/steam room and sauna) at least at 6:00 AM. Late checkin - 4:00PM and early checkout 11:00 makes for a less than one day stay for high price.
The location is amazing. The nordic spa is superb. The hotel was older but they appear to be doing some renovations.

Clean, neat and a good location to the main lodge and the Nordic Spa. Unfortunately our key cards stopped working a few times prompting trips back to the main lodge reception desk, and the thermostat wasn’t working in our room leading to an uncomfortable night in a very hot room.

The loft style of our room was really nice. The mini fridge was a good size (though a microwave would have been a nice addition). Great location and price for what you get- though if you don't like dogs or children, I wouldn't recommend it. However, the Nordic Spa is 18 so we had plenty of "escape". Loved the spa and that staying here offers you a discount. We did request a do not disturb sign and wine glasses which were never delivered over our 3 night stay and the hallways were always littered with cutlery/dishes and appliances. Overall, a decent place with lots of spaces to relax.
Unreal that they can even keep Mt Kidd Manor even open! Moldy ceilings, unkept patios, cold showers, filthy carpets, 80’s furniture that should be thrown out, Moldy showers and terrible smells from the rooms unkept cleanliness... no idea why they even keep this place open it’s embarrassing tithe entire resort.
The room was $322 per night, we were unable to check in till 4pm and have to check out by 11am, thats only 19 hours, not even a full day stay. The rooms were run down and old, this room at best is only worth $150 per night. In room amenities were sub standard. Check in arrangements were very difficult and confusing in the dark. Would not recommend.
Love that everything you need is right there.
Didn’t like the drunk workers at 2 am but I guess that is part of the nature of the mountains.

I have stayed here many times before but unfortunately this stay didn’t go well. The room was great but the bathroom door didn’t close or lock and there were 2 lightbulbs burnt out and the outlet by the bed didn’t work. I would have complained and changed rooms if we were staying for longer than one night.
We went for dinner in the Cedar room and our server Stuart was amazing. Unfortunately the food was not, the Brie appetizer came out with plastic in it and the steak was burnt instead of medium well. Not to mention we waited over an hour for our appetizers, this made for a 2.5 hour dinner and we were not able to take advantage of the other amenities since it took so long. Not sure why since there were only 6 tables occupied.
The worst part was the wrong credit card was authorized during check in and the front desk staff assured me it was not them that used my visa (that I had left at home). So I immediately called and cancelled my card and after more investigation it turns out the front desk authorized my visa debit instead of the credit card provided at check in. A real pain in the butt since now I have to change my card info on 10 places that I normally have it saved to. Not great right before Xmas.
But I was offers free breakfast for 2 next time I come, not sure if that’s a justification for a crappy experience but I will stay again since it’s my husbands favourite hotel.

We booked a double queen room but somehow ended up with a loft room. It’s nice but not what I asked for, and now we’ll have to pay more than we expected
Mount Kidd Manor is definitely dated and worn, but as a result more affordable. Most of the staff we came across were awesome but one in particular, not so much. Public areas are beautiful and well maintained. Food was incredible.
