I love Dormy Inn

Conveniently located a 5 minute walk from Kanazawa station, the Dormy Inn is remarkable value. The staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable the spa is amazing and the location couldn't be better. I stay in Dormy Inns all over Japan and think it is a model for value-priced hotels.

Great location

Great location and lovely hotel. The hot springs are fantastic, however only giving you one towel for both showering and the springs is a bit cheap. I'm also not a fan of the "online check in" kiosks, but otherwise a nice stay.

Great hotel in Kanazawa

I think very highly of the Dormy Inn chain. This was particularly convenient, located literally across the street from the train station. The room was large relative to other Japanese hotel rooms and the onsen was wonderful, with a generous outdoor area.

Dormy Inn Kanazawa is a fantastic choice, just a short walk from JR Kanazawa Station. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. The highlight is the top-floor natural hot spring, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Friendly staff and nice extras like free late-night soba make the stay even better. Highly recommended!

Great choice for Kanazawa

Less than 5 min walk from the station. Just across the street you will find the shopping mall and some restaurants. Very accessible location. Breakfast buffet is also very good.

Onsen and excellent breakfast

Hotel is very close to Kanazawa station. Onsen inside the hotel was the high light to me. The optional breakfast was excellent. It was well worth the extra money we paid. The size of the room we booked was a bit small, which was the only not so good point.

We really appreciated the staff helping us change when I realised I made a mistake in the bed configuration. The corner twin room was very comfortable. Of course, we also chose Dormy Inn for the onsen, but this time it was also because the weekend parade was almost at door step.

First time at Dormy, heard about it and would go again. This was near the train station, easy to get to, very helpful staff, clean, loved the onsen, the ramen at night and ice cream later. Breakfast was great. Shopping was easy across the street, and in the train station.

Excellent hotel with a fabulous breakfast buffet and a fine Onsen. The location is great as it is right next to the train and bus stations. Staff are courteous and helpful. My room was big by standards of Japan and supremely quiet. I loved the free popsicles by the Onsen. My only suggestion is to turn down the sauna heat a bit as it was painfully hot — the hottest I’ve ever experienced including in Japan. Other than that minor tweak this hotel is wonderful.

Dormy Inn was a pleasant surprise from all our accommodation we used. Free use of washing machine, with only needing to pay few yen for drying machine. Lots of freebies. Easily the best place we have stayed in Japan in terms of accommodation and cleanliness. They take care of their customers. Next trip to Japan, I will certainly look for more Dormy Inn locations to stay in.

On bus line and close to convenience stores, etc. And some interesting shops featuring made in Japan products. Hotel is typical business hotel. Staff is very careful with holding luggage for you before check in or after check out. They took care to keep it secure. We appreciated their thoroughness.

The location is super good. As you know, to take Bus is easiest way to look around Kanazawa, and all Bus are departing from Kanazawa station. This hotel is just one minute walk to there. And even after check-out, they can hold our baggage temporary so that we can still look around Kanazawa without searching coin operated locker, and pick it up just before start moving to next place. And large public bath and Sauna bath in hotel is very comfortable. Also so many famous Japanese restaurants are colse and easy to find. Ofcourse their hospitality is extreamly good. You won't find a hotel like this anywhere else at this price.

I loved this hotel, it was amazing value for money. I enjoyed it far more than hotels I paid double the price for elsewhere! The hot springs were so good, especially the one on the roof where you could look up at the sky. The staff were incredibly helpful. The rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed. What I thought was really lovely though was all the different little things that the hotel did to make your stay comfortable and convenient. I found a sweet gift in the fridge on arrival, and info via the tv to advise live how busy the spa, laundry and restaurant facilities were. They also provided discount coupons for local restaurants, and helped me check if a booking was required and it was delicious.
