"4 of the elevators were consistently not working. We paid in advance for valet parking and when we arrived we were told they were full."

"Lets talk food-Metropolotan testaurant breakfast for the price was actually quite bad. The bacon was greasy and soggy, the eggs were ok at best even with a little salsa(cheese would have been a great topper), not many options for drinks. Although the wait staff was very accommodating, I was only offered orange juice or coffee. I would have like water and possibly chocolate milk as well but may have mossed a fridge woth those options, but again did not see one. More muffin options would have been nice, only saw 1 maybe 2 types. Staff-while the wait staff was gracious, I had mixed help from the front desk. My check in was fine but had to ask what the parking protocol was(checkout is 12 but parking for the day ends at 3?!) Shouldnt parking for the day be the entire day or are they talking day before late afternoon or early evening? When i went to checkout for the day and confirm parking times, one of the ladies said i was good to go and keep room keycards for parking garage exit. But she never checked me out of the room!! I had a weird feeling that i could be charged for an extra day so i called the desk from where i was at bartle hall to see if I got checked out of the room. I had not been so she did for me over the phone. That could have been a $200+ mistake that i would have had to pay for Upon leaving the garage i did not see where to drop off the keys(though at this point i was wary anyway that id be charged another day of parking) The valet was nice enough to take keys"

"We had to switch rooms twice. Deadbolt in first room didn’t line up. Maintenance tried to fix it but couldn’t in a timely manner. Second room was clean, VERY comfortable bed, highway noise was a minus but we were exhausted and it didn’t keep us awake. Next morning after showering the hairdryer was broken, coffee pot didn’t work. Tried to call front desk for a hairdryer and the phone didn’t work! Also, the toilet was very wobbly. The staff was polite and tried to address the issues. Nothing special about the complimentary breakfast except for a very sweet lady who personally made you Mexican scrambled eggs and they were delicious. I guess we would say it was a bitter sweet experience. "

"The exterior of the hotel makes it obvious this is an older hotel, but they have done a good job of renovating the inside. The room itself was clean and the breakfast was outstanding. Our issue was the hotel was full and the common areas and hallways didn't have the same clean feeling as the room. Coupled with the pot smell in the elevator and hallway, and the sound of doors being opened and shut through the night led us to cut our stay short and move to the Fairfield Inn at Union Hill. The staff was friendly and it wasn't a bad experience, but since it cost the same as other hotels in the area, I'd choose to go back to the Fairfield Inn the next time we are in Kansas City. "

"Good breakfast and safe parking in the vecinity of the hotel building. There are excellent dining options nearby this hotel location. Also, this is a convenient location if planning to use Kansas City International Airport."

"The facility was wonderful; the room was cleanly appointed and the hot tub and pool were very clean and well-functioning. The only negative remarks would be the breakfast was lack luster, including eggs that felt freezer burnt. Also, the coffee machine in the lobby was disappointing because it was a machine you had to pay to use (other than a small cup of drip coffee)"

"We stayed a week in the Cosmo suite with a toddler. Great room even with the balcony closed. Excellent view. Breakfast and coffee options could improve. They don't match the experience of everything else. Bar and staff are both excellent. Thank you to the staff for a great experience! "
