This unit was renovated by an HGTV interior designer and is virtually identical to another unit that was featured on the HGTV show House Hunters that aired in November 2013. Unit 109 offers the most luxurious accommodations for the best value. Unobstructed ocean view, convenient location & updated renovation make this Wailua Bay View condo the best choice for your Kauai vacation! Furnishings, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, hardwood floors (driftwood beach finish), appliances, Caesar stone (quartz material counters), under cabinet lighting, glass back splashes, solar shades, new front and slider doors, smooth finish walls, and a new air conditioner. Over $100,000 spent on the renovation in 2013! Enjoy the soothing sound of the surf, the panoramic ocean & coastline view and gorgeous Hawaiian sun & moon rises! This ground floor unit is perfectly situated within the complex close to the swimming pool & BBQ area. Wailua Bay View is in the heart of Kauai's Coconut Coast. Restaurants, shopping & golf are just a short stroll or a few minutes away.
In addition, Unit 109 is the closest to the ocean of any unit at Wailua Bay View and therefore has the best views. Perfect property with a stunning ocean view right out the patio door! The condo is situated within walking distance to many restaurants and the Coconut Marketplace Shopping area. The location was also centrally located for visiting the northern beaches, as well as all of the southern beaches. The condo was outfitted with everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrella for beach days. We definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful oceanfront condo, centrally located

Condo was 100%as advertised, we watched whales, green turtles, and surfers from the lanei.It is located about in the center of the drivable portion of the island, everything can be explored within 90 minute drive.Several beach access points are within a short walk.

Great location!

We had a great time staying here! The location was very central and even walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again! Also getting to watch the sunrise on the ocean was a huge bonus!

Great condo and location

This condo is located in a perfect location on the island and an easy drive to everything we did. It has everything you would need, the view is amazing and the condo property is very well kept and quiet. It was very relaxing and we would definitely stay here again.

Great central location to see the entire island

Beautifully landscaped condo complex overlooking Wailua Bay. We walked to the beach every morning to catch the sunset. The condo had everything we needed and we especially appreciated the beach towels, chairs, cooler and snorkel equipment. Bed was very comfortable and shower had great pressure.

Delightful seafront getaway

This condo is right on the ocean, with a stunning view. The unit is well equipped, including with beach chairs etc. for day trips around this beautiful island.

Amazing place to stay in Kauai. Centrally located between the North and the South. Beautifully decorated and clean. The a/c in the bedroom works great!

Great location,beautiful ocean view, Only thing I say is it smelled little musty I just bought candles made it smell so much better ! I would stay here again and will recommend it to my friends . Also the queen size bed was dreamy slept like a baby !

Fabulous Ocean View

The wonderful ocean view greet us as we opened the door. There is a lovely landscaped pool just steps away. Just a short walk gets you down to the beach . The sound of the waves was so relaxing. We did have some trouble with the wifi and Luke responded right away, but it took some time. Location was great. Definitely would stay here again.

Location, Location, Location

This condo unit is right above the beach and overlooks Wailua Bay Beach. We could watch surfers, swimmers and fishermen right from our lanai. We saw whales only twice; a long distance away; but also saw a large pod of dolphins right in front. The location is an easy drive to anywhere else on the island.

Great location and lovely condo

The sound of the waves while sitting on the lanai was wonderful all week. The location is great for visiting all parts of the island and being close to stores and restaurants. I see that someone commented on the AC unit only in the bedroom. We never even used it. Although it was a bit warm for an hour or so in the afternoon, a glass of ice water and the breeze from the ocean made it barely noticeable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. All appliances worked great and furniture was comfy. We’d definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable

Sitting on lanai watching the surfer's and sail boarders was nice. Many restaurants In the area. Bakery across the street and a brewery across the next street with live music every evening. A couple of minor issues came up but was corrected.

Perfect for us!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! We spent 5 nights here on our honeymoon. The central location was awesome, we could easily get to the north or south side of the island in about 40 mins which was perfect for all of the exploring we had to do. The ocean and sunrise views were perfect and just as pictured in the listing. The condo had everything we needed for our stay, along with beach equipment. The only small critique would be there were small stains on some of the furniture that could use some TLC, but overall didn’t really impact anything but the look! We would stay again!

Kauai experience

I was overall very pleased with our rental. The transaction was very smooth. The home was super clean. The balcony and view were amazing. The home was very nice but not the “HGTV remodel” it referenced. Not a big deal. My only issue was that there was no central air. I know it’s probably my fault for not catching that if it was in the description. There was just an AC unit in the bedroom. We were sweating horribly otherwise bc open air just didn’t work. I didn’t do my hair or wear make-up bc it was so hot getting ready to go out. Now I know what to look for. Otherwise, it was very nice.

Beautiful View & Great Location!

This was our third trip to Hawaii but first to Kauai. As with previous trips, we looked for accommodations with a great view and great location, and this condo fit the bill! Kapaa’ was a great spot with an easy drive to both the north and south side of the island. It’s close to several restaurants and grocery stores, and a short drive south to other spots closer to the airport. The condo is spacious for 2 and was well equipped. The best part of the unit was the view! We would sit in the early morning and in the evening watching the sun, stars and rain (which led to beautiful rainbows over the old Coco Palms resort). Check in was a breeze and our parking pass arrived first thing in the morning after we arrived the previous night. Our host also emailed attachments of the area which helped us plan our days’ events! This review is being posted several months after our visit (my apologies to our host), so any concerns we had then have been addressed in more recent reviews. I will say that having a place like this to spread out made our trip to Kauai so wonderful! Thanks so much!
