"We needed a place closer to the airport for a night. We were quite worried about past negative reviews, but it was an excellent place to stay. Nothing like what the negative reviews mentioned. The pick up driver was responsive, professional, friendly. The hotel was very clean - things in good condition. Single stall standing shower. We were on the first floor (same floor as lobby desk). I was able to peek into one of the other rooms (empty room and it was also clean, etc). Breakfast on outside patio (each person gets one hardboiled egg, slice of cake, slice of bread with butter/jam, sliced deli cheese (no meat), greek yogurt, coffee or tea - not elaborate, but completely sufficient for what this type of stay is meant to be). The next morning, they did ask if we were willing to the airport at a later time than previously requested time (in order to be able to combine ride with other guests), but we declined (we wanted to be there 3 hours early versus 2 hours early), and they took us at our requested time (glad we did, because there was a very long security line and if we had gone later as asked, we actually might have missed our flight- so don't feel pressured to say yes). Would highly recommend this as a great place to stay for all those who need a quick stay before flying out of Athens the next day (was simpler than dealing with the metro or a long expensive taxi ride to stay in Athens). The shuttle and breakfast make this place a worthwhile deal. Would book again."

"Overall this was a great stay. Very nice to have the familiarity of a Holiday Inn after staying in Greece for a week. The rooms were a bit run down, you could tell they were weathered from the years with peeling wallpaper and cracks in the tiles in the bathrooms. It was also very gross that they allowed smoking in this hotel. We had a non-smoking room, but it was right next to a room that allowed smoking and the horrible stench wafted over and made us very ill. It would be better if they had a separate floor that allowed smoking to keep the odors away. The hotel restaurant had a large variety of options, as it is the only restaurant around the area. The food was excellent. All the staff in the hotel and restaurant were very kind and attentive. The breakfast had a large array of options, and everything was refreshed often and kept well-stocked. The only thing I would improve about the breakfast would be to make proper drip coffee that is not watered down. The complimentary shuttle was a great perk, and was very timely with getting us to the airport. I would recommend this hotel for a quick stay either coming or going from the airport. "

"Avoid this property unless you have no other options. It was very bare bones. For example, they give you three papertowels in your kitchen. They also have no back up keys should you lock yourself out, like I did. I called the number they give you and some guy came (he never introduced himself so I had no idea who it was) and tried to unlock the door. He was unable but he was able to popen the window wide enugh for me to crawl through. It really is a property that is only interested in taking your nightly fee, with little regard for anyting even a little extra. "

"Check-in was easy and staff nice. Dinner at restaurant was good. Room was nice and clean, but the sink drain was very slow to drain water. The hairdryer is low quality, and considering the cost of the hotel room it should definitely be a better quality. "

"Our visit to Alekos was super helpful and efficient. Andreas was wonderful for pick up and got us all settled in and then back to the airport 6 hrs later. Top notch service."

"We chose this location because it was close from the airport, but it's a long ride from downtown Athens if you want to enjoy the city. Self check-in was easy. The room we had lacked a bit of love: floors weren't clean, walls were a bit damaged. No hot water for our shower in the morning :("
