Good Property but not very well maintained

The property was good (I had booked 2 suites) but it could be maintained better. We had a leaking washroom, AC not working, broken glass pieces in the room. Also, I found the property location to be OK (a bit far from Parwanoo or Pinjore Garden) but good for exploring nature.

NOT SO GREAT EXPERIENCE

I booked this hotel seeing name attached to it as SPA hotel , but spa was not operational , I got to know from front office that spa guy is on leave , surprise to know such thing. Only one person operate SPA ? In such big hotel ? Secondly this hotel is over rated as 4 star on EXEDIA , This hotel seems to one STAR ,no bathroom amenities , the worst part was water pressure in shower , wash basin and WC . I don't understand why this hotel is listed in CHANDIGARH , this is around 25 KM FROM CHANDIGARH BUT Chandigarh is in PUNJAB AND this hotel is in Himachal Pradesh , this is misguiding as different states.

If you want to stay in Baddi stay in this hotel.

No Complaints as far as the hotel is concerned. Everything about this hotel is good except the surroundings. We thought it would be surrounded by mountains but infact it is surrounded by Factories :-) . Kasauli is 50 kms from this hotel.

It's value for money with good food & F/O Rooms

I booked this hotel since it's a hotel with a SPA but the SPA was not functioning. I booked the hotel for two of my other business partners too and it was a real disappointment therefore we stayed only for one night and cancelled the balance two days. The rooms are really good and comfortable and the food too very good. I would suggest them to fix the SPA properly with the Gym better facilities will do good for the hotel.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, quiet location

The Golden Palms is especially good value if the prices remain low. My room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff at reception were professional and personable. The restaurant does a good job, which is important since there are no other restaurants nearby. The location is very quiet. The only issue i had is that the WiFi signal only reaches some parts of the building, so, if a dependable Internet connection is important to you, you might want to ask for a room near the lobby. There is a secured parking lot, so it's a recommendable choice for an overnight stay on trips between Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh or Delhi, etc

The hotel manager laughed at me when I asked for a taxi after the checkout. The hotel is very far from chandigarh, he told me to walk or find an auto in town.

Amazing Hospitality

Was travelling from Dharamsala to Delhi and had planned a halt at this hotel. Me and my family was so overwhelmed by their hospitality that we extended our stay by an additional night. Looking forward for an early re-visit.

Very nice hotel for short break!!

Verry good hotel - clean and well maintained with a modern twist - room was very nice & spacious, large bathroom, mini-bar, excellent air conditioning 24x6, Wi-Fi access all inclusive. Definitely looking forward to stay here soon!!

Nice Hotel

I booked this hotel, as my plan for a vacation became at the last minute & no other hotel was available in Kausali. Positives: 1. Very nice rooms 2. Nice food & service 3. A nice & calm place Negatives: 1. The hotel is located 35 kms from Kausali I was very much impressed by the hospitality of Mr. Raghbir Singh, who took care of every single bit & made the experience worthwhile. Highly recommended!!!

Nice rooms, nice people, remote location, no WiFi

The Golden Palms is good value if the prices remain low and Internet access isn't critical for you. My room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff at reception were professional and personable. The restaurant was good enough (they initially made a mistake with my order but then corrected it). My only real complaint is that the wifi didn't work (I was able to connect to the wifi network but it was so slow i couldn't even load a single webpage after fifteen minutes), so i wasn't able to get any work done. The location is in a remote and not particularly attractive area, but on the other hand it is quiet and there is a secured parking lot, so it's a recommendable choice for an overnight stay on trips between Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh or Delhi, etc.

A very nice , good clean and freindly hotel in wilderness or at least away from the main stream locations, 23 km away from Chandigarh it may be used by travellers driving from Delhi to Manali as a stopover.
