Beautiful hot

Hotel with excellent location for a visit to Schloss Wilhelmhöhe. The room was quite dated, beds semi-comfortable, the mattress in the extra bed dipped in the middle. Food and service at lunch was ok, but didn’t impress. Having said all this, I should also add that breakfast was excellent and so was the outdoor pool area. We didn’t use the spa, but it looked beautiful. However, the spa staff provided great service to us at the outdoor pool as well.

Fantastic location with a direct view of the Hercules statue on Wilhelmshöhe. Room was ok but unfortunately no AC was available which was a bit annoying during the heat wave in August 2026. Breakfast and pool were great. On the morning of departure no water was available from 10am to noon due to maintenance. But I guess that was just tough luck.

Small room with tiny bathroom, poor furniture and decoration. The room itself was above the service entrance, starting 6:30h loud noises from the staff moving the trash bins and other service carts. Not to mention the water noises from wherever in the hotel, showers, toilets…. Disgusting experience

It wasn't a walkable property, and the tram didn't run the days we were there. I would have liked to have done and seen more, but when one is of a certain older age, walking can be difficult.

We arrived before 10 but the staff told us the kitchen and room-service was closed, even though the website says it doesn’t close until 10. It was not possible to book almost anything at the spa since staff told us there was no availability, even though we barely saw any other guest in the spa area. The hotel is nice, but a bit overpriced.

I left my luggage for storage after check-out. Upon coming back I see it standing freely next to a counter a few steps from the sliding doors that lead outside. I could not only see my luggage but a bag from another guest, from outside the entrance. I took my stuff and left. Then, since noone stopped me or took notice I went back inside to complain. I was met with complete indifference, altough anyone could have stolen our luggage and the bag of another hotel guest. I have never witnessed anything like that in my visits to hundreds of hotels. For me this is an absolute deal breaker.

Ruhige Lage mit schönem Ausblick über Kassel. Alles war sauber, das Personal freundlich und wir hatten zudem die Möglichkeit die Annehmlichkeiten wie Sportraum und Spa über das Checkout hinaus zu nutzen, da wir erst gegen 14 Uhr abgereist sind. Die Matratzen waren ok, die Bettdecken sehr wohlfühlend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr vielfältig und sicher für jeden was dabei. Tee gab es überall im Hotel for free. Hier kommen wir aufjedenfall nochmal hin 🙂
