Fantastic, environmentally friendly accommodation
The proprietors were extremely helpful and went way out of their way to cater for the wishes of guests, including running a private bird-watching trip. They are keen environmentalists and are welcoming to anyone with an interest in nature.

Beautiful place just not loved..
Having driven over Namibia for over 2 weeks this was the one place I will not miss. We felt very unwelcome there. The host despite having our booking on his computer was not aware of our arrival in spite of the fact that we were only one of 2 guests there. We were booked in their rented room, the Zips to the door net were broken, there was no padlock for the tent, the shower head was missing. He promised to replace that but that was the last we saw of him till the next day. The room was not tidied up. All he could say was that he could move us to a chalet but we had to pay N$800pp! Never setting foot on this property again

Certamente vou voltar um dia, se Deus me permitir.
Localização e instalações excelentes. Receção muito simpática pelo proprietário, o Kurth. Igualmente muito simpático e afável o Raymond, que foi o nosso guia no Sunset de barco, feito no esplendoroso rio Zambeze. Inesquecível!!!!

BETRUG
Vorsicht Betrüger!!! Verspricht großes Zelt für 108 €. Bietet dann Militärzelt mit offenem Außenbad. Erklärt dann, man hätte doch genau das gebucht. Eine Frechheit ohnegleichen. Wir, ein älteres Ehepaar werden diese Type bei der Staatsanwaltschaft anzeigen. Das Geld hat er kassiert. Wir sind unter Protest abgereist und haben woanders zum gleichen Preis angemessen übernachtet.

Lieber Rainer Erstens, haben wir nichts versprochen. Ihr habt ein Zimmer per Expedia gebucht. Alle Chalets waren ausgebucht. Deswegen konntet ihr nur das Zeltzimmer buchen. Das war das einzige Zimmer das zur Verfügung stand auf dem System und wurde per Expedia gebucht ohne unseren direkten Einfluss. Um uns deswegen von Frechheit zu beschuldigen ist falsch. Zu ihrer Information, hat Expedia das Geld von ihrer Karte abgehoben. Ich habe es noch nicht von Expedia kassiert, da ihr sofort weiter gefahren seit. Ich werde jetzt jedoch das Geld abheben da Sie sich einverstanden erklärt haben mit der Cancellation Policy die uns 100% erlaubt und uns dann beleidigen und beschuldigen nachdem wir friedlich auseinander gegangen sind.

Tolle und ruhige Unterkunft am River
Sehr nette junge Leute betreiben diese Lodge. Sie sind sehr spontan und haben uns sofort eine Bootstour ermöglicht, als Tiere im River zu sehen waren. Man kann dort eine Menge im River beobachten und sehr gut und ruhig relaxen. Tolle Unterkunft in der Natur, kommen gerne immer wieder !

Uriges Zeltcamp oberhalb des Flusses.
Es handelt sich um ein uriges Zeltcamp oberhalb des Flusses mit Blick auf den Fluss und Blick auf das Nachbarland Sambia auf der anderen Flusseite. Probleme mit Mücken u.ä. waren relativ gering und konnten mit entsprechenden Sprays gut in Griff gehalten werden. Sehr freundliches Personal, insbesondere Rachelle, die uns bei der Weiterreise nach Kasane mit Rat und Tat vorbildlich unterstützt hat. Gutes Frühstück, passables WLAN. Erwähnenswert auch ein recht fideler Hauspapagei, der mit urigen Geräuschen für gute Laune gesorgt hat.

Sehr gute Lodge direkt am Sambesi
Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Der ganze Aufenthalt war familiär. Die Lodge gehört einer deutschen Familie, die sich ganz persönlich um das Wohl der Gäste kümmert. Auch die angebotenen Bootsfahrten waren sehr schön. Die Guides bieten einen hohen Standard an. Interessant dürften für manche Gäste auch die Hausboote sein. Hier werden 3 oder 4 Tagestouren zum Chobe River angeboten. Die Boote können mit bis zu 6 Personen belegt werden. Weniger ist bestimmt entspannter. Dieses Angebot ist einzigartig und eine Überlegung wert. Das nächste Mal mit Hausboot zum Chobe ist bei uns vorgesehen.

Geweldige locatie aan de rivier
Spontane ontvangst en om dat het niet druk was kregen we een upgrade naar een open tent met geweldig uitzicht over de rivier. Je kijkt vanuit je bed zo over het water een aanrader voor iedereen.

Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt, traumhafte Umgebung
Diese Lodge faellt aus dem normalen Rahmen: Preiswert und gleichzeitig mit einer einmaligen Umgebung ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind als eine Art Terrasse zu verstehen, welche direkt am Wasser des Zambezi steht. Die Waende sind teilweise aus Schilfrohr wobei die der Wasser zugewandten Seite ofen ist (kann mit einer dicken Zeltplane zugezogen werden. Das private Bad (Dusche, Waschbecken, Klo) ist im Freien aber geschuetzt. Fruehstueck und Abendessen sind gut, eine Bar gibt den ganzen Tag ueber die Gelegenheit sich zu erfrischen. Es koennen Bootsfahrten auf dem Fluss vor Ort gebucht werden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wenn man will hat man schnell Kontakt zu den anderen Gaesten und der Lodgeleitung.Entspannung pur, mit WLAN wenn benoetigt. Der Ort Katima Mulilo ist in 7 km und bietet gute Einkaufsmoeglichkeiten. Ein sehr gut gefuerter Laden fuer lokale Handwerksarbeiten (Korbwaren und Schnitzereien) ist zentral gelegen und billiger als woanders in Namibia.

Abenteuer Sambesi
Kurt und sein Team sind klasse, wir haben uns 5 Tage in dieser rustikalen Lodge sehr wohl gefühlt. Man sollte unbedingt eine Safari mit dem Hausboot über den Sambesi bis in den Chobe National Park machen, es war wunderbar.
