"We rented the room just for 12 hours due to a flight change. We had never stayed at the Royal but here are my take aways: Very clean. Room and entire property was kept clean, well maintained and fairly modern. Pools are small but efficient. We stayed a week in Wailea (more expensive) and was a little disappointed in the food on property at the Royal. We stayed in Ka'anapali because we had dinner reservations at Hono (a must go!!!!!) and then a midnight flight. For the price, it far exceeded our expectations and would definitely use it again for a last day extension. And I know you are going to ask why I would not stay there for longer. It really has zero to do with the hotel and everything to do with the beach. Ka'anapali beaches have a ledge that drops off about 12-18" around knee deep water. Wailea beaches are a gradual dropoff and we prefer the southern beaches to the northern ones. Ka'anapali is more economical than Wailea (especially for food) so for more budget minded travelers this hotel would far exceed your expectations. It did mine. Enjoy!"

"everything about our stay at Aston Kaanapali Villas was outstanding. our room Premium one bedroom with ocean view was like a high end condo thecstaff were efficient and friendly and vomped us wine and chicolated for our honeymoon the pool gorgeous the consierge so helpful and welcoming"
