Everything in this unit has been totally updated. The one bedroom, King bed is comfortable and well thought out. The condo is so well well appointed. Anything that we needed was found at our fingertips. The view is of the ocean and near the pool. We found the quiet and serenity we were looking for...We only wish that we had booked more days at this little slice of heaven. You never know what you are really going to get until you see what the booking really is. If you are looking for comfort, quiet and serenity in your crazy lives ...you will find it here. Given a different unit
We reserved a ground floor unit at Molokai Shores. The information we received the day before check-in moved us to a different, second-floor unit. That was fine with us, but it would be a problem for someone who couldn’t climb stairs. The location is good, close to town. Bring your own salt, pepper, coffee filters, etc. The condo complex is a popular place for local families to gather. Beautiful grounds, small beach, lovely view of Lanai. We enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed
Place was dusty and dirty floors were horribly dirty. Needed earplugs to drown out roosters sounding out starting at 4am. People above us were clopping around all the time. Place was so hot it was horrible. We had windows open and no breeze. We would never stay here again. Place was not exactly like pictures

Great property, view, and location
First time to Moloka'i and I debated on staying here or out on the west end of the island. I'm glad I chose this property -- central location on the island, close enough to walk to town (about a mile on the side of a busy road -- do-able for adults, but not with kids) and to a nice restaurant/bar at Hotel Molokai (1/4 mile on same busy road). The property is great -- FANTASTIC view with a nice pool, quiet-ish condo complex, updated furnishings and original artwork, comfortable bed, private-feeling lanai with quality furniture, and the best stocked kitchen I've seen in a rental. Given this, I was surprised that some things were overlooked-- no coffee filters, no bathroom sink soap, no clean kitchen sponge, no beach towels or beach chairs. These weren't a big deal -- we wound up getting these ourselves, but it would've been nice to have had ready, and these seem standard for a (beach) condo. The check-in process was challenging, in part due to low staffing with Covid -- reduced office hours, no one answering the phone on the ph# posted on the office door, etc. Eventually, we did get the lockbox code but had to wait a couple hours. It would be nice if that could simply be emailed the day of check in rather than going on a goose chase with an off-site office and multiple phone numbers. Despite these minor things, we loved our time and would definitely rent this unit again.

Gorgeous Molokai!
We spent 5 nights at the condo in February during which we experienced incredible weather. The condo itself was nicely appointed and well equipped. Condo grounds are well maintained and the pool area is really nice. For first time travellers to Molokai beware the roosters who will do all in their collective power to wake you, very early. Ear plugs are a must. This location is very central for exploring and close enough to town that we walked.

Bring your own soap for the bathroom sink!
The condo is in the perfect location, well laid out, easy parking. The view from the lanai is perfect. We appreciated how quiet it was and how beautifully kept the buildings, parking lot, pool, lawn, and landscaping were. The building maintenance guys were friendly and very interesting. The condo was quite clean, although we killed a couple roach-type bugs in the bathroom (but that’s to be expected in the tropics, the chickens and lizards can’t eat all the bugs!) And when we stripped the bed upon leaving, we noticed the mattress could use a good vacuuming. The condo manager was a problem. The paperwork left for us in the condo instructed us to go to the management office in town to officially check in. They gave the address of the office, but no directions, nor do they mention the office is completely hidden from view, and there’s no signage. We finally called the office for directions and found the place. While there, l asked if we could get a bar of soap, as there was nothing but a mini tube of face wash in the condo. “We don’t supply soap,” she said, “because we’re not a hotel.” When l replied we’ve stayed in VRBOs dozens of times and they’d all been supplied with soap, she said we’d just have to buy it ourselves. Later that day, we found that the keys didn’t unlock all 3 of the door locks. No one answered at the management office; the phone rolled over to another number but no one answered that, either. So back we go to the office at 1230, just as the woman was leaving. She complained that we were keeping her from her kids. l pointed out that their office was supposed to be open until 2pm and no one had answered her phone. She called someone to unlock our door. Thankfully he answered his phone and met us at our door. He was very nice and told us if we had any other issues just to find him. A few minutes later we got a call from the woman at the office. She didn’t identify herself but started scolding us for calling the emergency number. I said we’d called the regular number but that it had rolled over because she didn’t answer. She apparently didn’t realize her phone system worked that way. After that 1st day there were no more issues, thank goodness. So, bring your own soap, check to make sure the keys you’re given unlock all 3 locks, try not to have anything to do with the condo management office, and you will have a lovely stay.

I just began a review and I’m not sure it went through. I had more to say. The property was very pretty and the condo was clean, nicely decorated and perfect for our needs. The two major issues were that the electrical appliances - the disposal and the dishwasher did not work. It took several calls to get through to the administration even during their very limited business hours. The disposal eventually was fixed. The dishwasher was not fixed by the time we left - 36 hours after we reported it. Additionally, the house had few provisions. Coming to the island for less than a week, it would have been nice to have salt, sugar, coffee, coffee filters and garbage bags at the very least. We have come to expect that when staying in a condo.

Check in with the ladies at Castle Resort Office was a breeze. In Awe From the moment we walked into the newly renovated beautiful unit! And let’s talk about the amazing view from the lanai that pulls you right outside that takes your breath away. You just have to appreciate the little things of how the beauty of nature can instantly warm your soul no matter how or what you’re feeling that can take you into a whole new world of happiness and content. And believe it or not, we’re from Molokai; Hawaiian born and raised; decided to do a quick overnighter as a change of scenery and it did absolutely just that! You will not regret it! The convenience to the pool and grills right outside your door and central location is the cherry on top! Do yourself a favor and book this unit when you have the chance. Wonderful condo
Located just outside of town, very convenient. Great kitchen and living area. Big bed. Looks recently renovated. Clean. Was a little warm because of the heat on Molokai during my stay but not too bad. Will stay there again!

Restful -peaceful- great sunset location

Check in
if arriving after office hours in the condo make sure to have the checkin information. I did not receive checkin info and did not follow thru to make sure we had all info needed (my fault) before arriving. With a little lucky digging we were able to contact a live body to get Information needed. Nice place with very clean friendly tenants.

This unit is very nicely appointed. The kitchen has everything covered, the grounds are well cared for and the grills are brand new. And the best part is the sunset views are stunning.

Great Place
This newly renovated condo was great and in the perfect location. While it's raining on other parts of the island, it's sunny there. And close to town. The lanai was our favorite place for the time we were there.

A Gem
Wish we stayed longer. Beautiful condo with outstanding view. Clean and probably one of the best kitchens. It had everything. We cooked in both nights and even had a friend come and make homemade Indian food. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools and spices we needed. Do not hesitate to book this amazing unit.

Moloka’i is beautiful & our condo was perfect!
The condo was great. Location was perfect. Pool was great. The only downfall at all was the heat while sleeping....we did buy a fan which helped out a lot. We left it there, so hopefully others can enjoy it too!

This a condo complex and we expected some other folks to be around. They were, but you would hardly know. Even when quiet hours (10pm to 8am) were not in effect, there was plenty of solitude-just the sound of the birds and the surf. It’s close to everything in Kuanakakai (5 min drive) and in the middle of the main road of the island. It’s also the most well appointed Vrbo we have ever rented. All the kitchen utensils and spices you ever need. Just 2 things, which were likely oversights: No extra trash bags and the pillows were hidden in a closet and when we found them, there were no pillowcases. There were decorative pillows, but the sleeping pillows were a first night mystery. This is the only place we would consider if we returned to Molokai.

Epic stay! Highly recommend.
It was this condo find that lead me to desire to visit Molokai. And I was not disappointed! It was everything I had hoped it would be, plus. This place completed my experience on this island ten-fold. Condo Perks: The condo appears to be newly renovated. In fact, it still smelled new! Everything was beautiful and modern, decorated with a tasteful, tropical vibe. Many items in the condo were still brand new. And yes to the coffee bean grinder and Vitamix blender! The very comfy bed appeared to be king-sized. I love how the lamp bases lit up as night-lights. The bedroom gets warm in the AM, however the quiet ceiling fan made up for that. You can hear a little road noise and early risers located behind you or walking along the sidewalk if your window is open, however that was rarely an issue for me. Other guests were quite respectful. The condo location was absolute perfection. Central to the island and minutes from the main town, right in front of your own little beach. The sunsets right from this lanai are absolutely amazing. The pool area overlooking the beach is gorgeous and very clean. A lounger shade option would have been nice, however there are two tables with umbrellas. Wifi was great! The lovely TV is also equipped with all the latest apps however require your own sign-ins, such as Netflix. Some Spectrum perks didn't appear to be hooked up however basic cable was available. This area of the island is protected with a large reef, leaving very little shore break which is amazing, however does host slightly murky waters. I waded, however a few others did swim. The water is extremely shallow for a long ways out, perfect for wandering. Added suggestions: a full-sized coffee pot, beach chairs, a lounger, small mobile fan, fly swatter, dust pan. However not deal breakers by any means. Island Perks: All the main island road destinations were paved, and so easy and safe to navigate. It's quiet and everywhere you drove was beautiful. Loved Molokai Burgers, the 'hot bread' run at the bakery served after 7:30 pm (try their french toast breakfast... delicious and huge!) Friendly's grocery store, Aka'Ula Cat Garden visit, the Kalaupapa Peninsula overlook, and the drive to Halawa Bay. (resembles the road to Hana). The beaches on the west side are gorgeous, however swimming due to strong tide currents was not recommended. You will appreciate YOUR beach! Summary: I'd come back to this unit in a heart beat! In fact, I'd insist on it...

Perfect location with amazing view!
The condo is in a lovely, peaceful, park-like, beach-front setting with a stunning view. The condo is set up well for two and we were very comfortable. The property management company was very attentive and helpful when needed. The bare basics are available in the kitchen, but that was not a problem, as we were not there to cook. There is good WiFi. The central location and lovely grounds would get 5 stars. The dated condition of the unit brought the rating down to 4 stars. Bring your own beach towels. There is a coin operated laundry facility in another building, so bring quarters for that. Watch out for the coffee maker—it stays in the “pause” mode, unless you manually release it (wrong pot for this type of coffee maker). I did appreciate a couple of coffee bags to get us going the first morning. The pool key did not fit the lock at the pool. I forgot to let the management know, but I know they would quickly resolve that problem if they knew. The ground level lanai was very convenient. We felt it was priced fairly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay of 4 nights.

Grosszügiges Appartment mit Meerblick
Schöner grosser Balkon und 2 Schlafzimmer mit eigenen Bad auch wenn das Bild von einem anderen Zimmer war. Problemloser Late Check in dank Schlüsselbox, gute Lage auf der Insel, wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge mit Sicht auf Nachbarinseln. Küche war gut ausgestattet falls man kochen will. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.
