Das Haus selber ist in einem tadellosen, neu renovierten Zustand und lässt in keinem Aspekt Wünsche offen. Die Küchenausstattung ist reichhaltig, alle Etage verfügen über einen großen Balkon. Besonders für Familien mit Kindern gibt es zahlreiche tolle Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung (Tierpark Rheinböllen, Tier-Erlebnispark Bell, Hängebrücke von Geierlay, Sommerrodelbahn Loreley). The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. "Very nice. Only drawback is that they don't do breakfast (there is a good kitchen with everything you need if you have supplies). There is a coffee machine and there's a bakery just up the street that was open even on Sunday morning, so it isn't a disaster if you don't come equipped."

"We enjoyed our fifteen nights in Enkirch at this property very much. This four story house (plus cellar) is very spacious, giving the four of us the ability to be together or separate as we wished. "The house is large with well-stocked kitchen and many areas for relaxing, eating and sleeping. We did not know we had to reserve the bedding ahead of time, so had no bedding the first night. This may have partly be due to lack of clear communication as the owner's English was not strong. The house also was not as clean as we would have liked and some elements were not working properly, such as one shower. The washing machine was not available (as it is shared) when we wanted to use it."
