Looking to escape the city life? This nautical oasis will have you saying, “Oh Buoy!” Situated on gorgeous Cameron Lake in the 'Jewel of the Kawarthas’. You willfind yourself just steps away from the sandbar and Victoria Rail Trail. This newly renovated two-story cottage sleeps six. The main living area murphy bed sleeps two, while the lower level offers one bedroom with two twin beds and common area with a pullout couch. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen, four-piece bathroom and private balcony. Enjoy eating outdoors at your own private dining area or fishing and swimming off the dock. This cottage is the perfect spot to spend time with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle.

Cute Boathouse

We really enjoyed our stay. We liked that it was modern/newish. The decor did fit the ambiance of the cottage. There’s lots to do. Swimming was fabulous. Not often you get such a fantastic sand bar. The hosts were very accommodating. If we ran out of something, it was delivered in record time. Would absolutely recommend. We may just book again next year.

Will Be Back!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Boathouse. The host (Sarah) and staff (Lauchie) were extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. The view from the main living space was incredible - having dinner on the balcony, overlooking Cameron Lake while the sun was setting was absolute perfection. The water was a bit choppy the first couple of days, but it didn’t take away from the fun of getting in for a swim or kayak. I’ve never seen such an incredible sandbar! You can walk out so far from the shore and the water will still only be at waist height - perfect for families with smaller children. Our pup loved walking the trail which was conveniently located right behind the Boathouse. Sarah was also extremely accommodating and allowed us an earlier check-in/late check-out, which was great as the lake was so perfectly calm on our last day, and it was a treat to be able to take a final dip before we packed up. Only one small critique - the wifi was spotty but there were lots of movies and games to pass the time when not enjoying the outdoors. Will definitely be back!
