It is hot in here!

It is an excellent hotel. It is modern and new. Exceptionally clean and great service. Except, there is no air contdition per se. What they have as a ceiling cooling is not sufficient enough for a comfortable stay. Room temperature was easy 77F - 25C plus. If you are a cold natured traveler, I would certainly recommend the stay.

Overall really satisfied

Overall very satisfied. We booked one night to visit the Strasbourg Christmas market, so it was obviously more expensive than it would usually be, but still decent compared to other hotels around the city. The hotel itself is nice and clean. The rooms are pleasant and spacious, if somewhat bare on terms of decoration and appeal. The bathroom could also be better isolated from the bedroom; ours had a glass wall and glass sliding door. The plumbing is a bit noisy and you can hear when there are people in the hallways, but it is not enough, I think, to bother you while you're sleeping. Breakfast offer a solid choice of drinks, sweet and savory food; enough variety to please every palate. The hotel also comes with a brand new spa which is free (for now) for every guest (!)

This is a very good hotel - but there is one significant issue and that is the lack of transparency about the pool only being able to be used by nudists. We arrived at the hotel and it was 39 degrees - don’t worry I said to my wife we have a hotel with an outdoor pool. We were told at reception it was 10 Euro to access the spa and pool and the.n that we would have to do so without fabric - a German tradition we were told. This was really upsetting for my wife who folllowing a second case of Breast Cancer had been given a double mastectomy with reconstruction and was not comfortable or confident being naked in public. When I shared this point with the reception there was no empathy - rules are rules. All of this significant upset could have been avoided if the Expedia website and the hotel website were clearer and more transparent about the pool access being dependent on wearing no swimwear. If we had known this we would have booked another hotel. Anyway the rest of the hotel was very good - but please be transparent and upfront about this requirement.

Room was clean and i did take studio suite which was excellent, PS there were free drinks with beer, wine, cold drinks and juice with nuts and chocolates, by the way these will refilled next day if its finished all included if you book suite which was excellent. Beds were ok but they only provide single duvet which is a big let off.

Lovely staff

It was really enjoyable and the receptionists were very welcoming and happy to help all the time. If staying here but plan to go to Strasbourg get the DB navigator app to buy bus tickets as transport was hard to navigate without it

First morning, breakfast was poor because there were only 3 people in the hotel, second morning was better but should be always like ‘as normal’ even for those 3 people. No outdoor lights on entry towards the reception. Hotel too far from city center.
