I recently stayed at the British Colonial Nassau. The hotel is located right beside the cruise ship docks, and from the back of the property there is beach access — however, you’ll still see the cruise ships from there. Keep in mind that this area is very busy during the daytime because of the cruises (there were about four docking daily during our stay). At night, though, the area becomes very quiet and most places close early. Breakfast at the hotel is $40 per person, which feels quite expensive. Thankfully, there’s a McDonald's directly across the street (go early because it gets very busy), and Olde Nassau Café nearby offers a great breakfast and coconut rum pound cake for local Bahamian breakfast there Bohemian cooking restaurant definitely a better choice and more authentic option. For dinner, options are limited at night, but Ibichan Restaurant is open until 9:00 PM and offers decent food at reasonable prices. If you book through Expedia or similar third-party websites, be aware of additional costs: there is a resort fee of about $49 USD per day, and parking costs around $35 USD per day. The rooms were decent. The sheets were comfortable, though the mattress was a bit too soft for my liking but for a short stay, it was fine. They use feather pillows, so keep that in mind if you have allergies. The AC worked well, which is important in Nassau. The staff were nice and friendly. Overall, it’s a pretty standard hotel, perfectly fine for a short stay of a few days.

The staff and service was impeccable! My room was spotless. The food was so good with so many choices. They also offered Gluten Free options. Our trip was in February and it was 70 degrees, the pools are heated so that was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice new place. Not enough hot water. No USB plug ins. Had issues with getting codes and key fobs To work. Buddy bought one. So can’t be to bad.

Overall all was great. At times it was difficult to find chairs whether at the beaches or the pools. Service was good but a few times we felt that we were bothering them. Be prepared to spend money as food and drinks are pricey especially bid you are Canadian due to the exchange rate

We have been for several years and the rooms in the reef are showing their age. The tvs, tech and furniture are all 20 years old… The other thing for anyone to know is that the prices here are high and then 25%is automatically added for vat and 15%gratuity… All that said- we keep coming back and the kids love it!!
