"Do NOT waste your time or money staying here. First it is about an hour from kernville not 30 mins. If staff is actually onsite for you to check in, amazing! But unfortunately for us there was no staff there when we arrived at 3:54 pm AFTER check in time. Good luck getting a refund because even if you wait for hours they will mark you as a no show and won’t respond until DAYS later about your “stay”. "

"Parking was good, room and air conditioning were good. We booked our room last minute, but the hotel was obviously not full, yet we were given a room towards the back and very, very small. The location is the best, walking distance to everything. I would recommend staying here, but we just weren’t happy with the room we were given."

"Room was clean & nice. Beds were comfortable. Didn’t use the kitchenette but plenty of room to cook with the counter space, sink, & 2 electric burners. A nice deck with tables & chairs. Plenty of safe parking. Friendly staff. Television & consistent wifi. Only downer is the neighboring walls are not insulated and you are practically in your neighbors conversation."

"It's tough to beat the location of this motel. It is right on the banks of the Kern River. The property is definitely showing it's age, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable."

"The family that owns this property are the BEST. This property is meant for family and fun .... and it is PERFECT for everything I am looking for when heading to Kernville. I have been going to the Kern since I was a kid and 40 years later I have the perfect home to show all our friends why Kernville Family! Thanks to the host of this VRBO for allowing us to share this property with our friends and my family. Cheers!"

"Such a cut me property near the river and in the center of town. Loved staying here! Will definitely be back. "

"This property is absolutely beautiful and well located. You can hear the river from every room with the windows open. The views from the porch were stunning. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we could need for our stay. The kitchenette has equipment for small meals and such. There is a small oven but we didn't have a need to use it. The host was very thoughtful with snacks and drinks upon our arrival and was very quick to respond to any questions or needs we had while we were there. We would definitely rent again! "
