A homey atmosphere and good value for money

If I traveled to Keszthely again, I would pick the same place. The owners were very hospitable and very helpful in arranging extra activities, like our bike rental. Practical bonuses: a fridge in the room, a coffee maker in the main hall, complimentary tea and coffee; all making it possible to grab a snack before going out in the morning. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, whereas the lake, the beach and the center of Keszthely are within a walking distance. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who's planning to spend the most of their Balaton time outdoors, but still needs a decent and inexpensive place to sleep.

OK-ish, not much value for the price

The main attraction here is the location, next to the Balaton. People tend to stay little time in the hotel. This place is good enough for sleeping and having a shower. There is no breakfast, although I was directed to a nearby hotel for it, so kinda solvable. The room costs the same money as a super clean apartment next to the Adriatic Sea with kitchen and A/C. There is no A/C here by the way, which is unfortunate at summer time. Overall, it is Okay, but overprices by the same margin as everything else next to Balaton.

Very bad experience. TO BE AVOIDED!!!

In the reservation confirmation by Hotel.com was written that the reception is available up to 19.00. I arrived at 18.10 and there was nobody at the reception. I start calling the phone number and nobody was answering. I made a reservation for 2 adults+2 children and in the confirmation was written: 1 queen bed + 2 single. In the room there were only 2 single bed and 1 coach prepared as bed. I tried calling again the number and NOBODY was answering. So we slept in 4 people in 3 beds. Only 3 towels was prepared and no showergel in the shower

Biztosan nem ajánlom senkinek ezt a szállást.

A személyzet nagyon kedves volt,de sajnos ez nem feledtette a hiányosságokat. A kinézet tetszetős. A hűtőszekrény az igazi régi orosz Szaratovra emlékeztetett, hangos volt, a hőállító leszakadva, és mindent megdermesztett. A szobához adott két szék leszakadva, használhatatlan, amit kérésre kicseréltek. A szoba szellőztetése a bejárati ajtó, és a teraszajtó volt. A baj csak az, hogy a bejárati ajtó kilincsre nem volt zárható, csak kulcsra. Amikor esett az eső, a teraszajtót nyitva nem lehetett hagyni, bár az eső befolyt a zárt ajtón keresztül is. A teraszajtónál a szúnyogháló használhatatlanul szétszakadva. A fürdőszoba kicsit penészszagú, és a lefolyóból apró bogarak mászkálnak fel, egyébként amennyire az állapota engedte, tiszta volt. A szekrényajtók kicsit leszakadva, némelyik bezárhatatlan. A szekrény belül koszos volt, csak kitörlés után volt használható. A földszinti teraszrészen gondoltuk este játszunk, olvasunk, ( a szobain világítás hiányában nem lehetett) azonban egy karácsonyi égősor, amit kérésre bekapcsoltak, nem világított semmit, pedig voltak nagyon szép lámpák. Az úszómedence csak kép volt, mert se csempe mindenütt, és valószínű ezért nem volt víz sem. A tévére nem voltunk igényesek, mert kevésbé használtuk, de fogalmazzunk úgy, hogy ilyent már nagyon rég találtunk, pedig nem a luxus kategóriákat látogatjuk. A befolyó vizet nem tudtuk feltakarítani, csak saját papírtörölközővel, mert se felmosó se semmilyen takarítóeszközt nem találtunk.

There are much better options in Keszthely;

We would never recommend this place 1 There is no reception and no one on the phone spoke English. The personal manager does speak English but was not available that weekend. 2 Rooms are very different to the pictures on internet. There is no place even for a chair; you get only a towel per person, no hand towel at all, and even in the "best room", there is no place to hang the towels. There are 16 rooms and no recepción, no facilities and no maintenance, and in the "garden", an empty, broken swimmingpool. 3 First room we got was dirty, speacially the bathroom, but we didnt take pictures. We got a second room that was ok, but after 2 nights they moved our things WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!!! to a room that was also dirty (see pictures, and what we found when we came back at 9pm on Saturday) 4 We had booked 5 nights, and for the price, we had expected much better conditions. But we were speacially upset when we found our things in a new room!!! 5 We decided to leave 2 nights before because we could not accept that someone had taken all our things WITHOUT PERMISSION. 6 Now the hotel wants to keep the full amount for the 5 nights. 7 Only hoteles.com has acknowledged the big disturbance and compensated us. 8 We travell a lot and had never experienced something like this!!

Sehr günstige, aber auch sehr einfache Unterkunft

Das Zimmer war nicht wie ein Superior-Zimmer eingerichtet (kein Tisch, Schrank und Fenster beschädigt), bei 4 Übernachtungen wurde nur einmal gereinigt, bei Ankunft fehlte das Toilettenpapier. Das Personal war nett und freundlich (falls mal vor Ort), die Lage ist ruhig und 15 Min. vom Bahnhof und Innenstadt entfernt, Geschäfte sind 1,5 km entfernt, alles aber in verschiedene Richtungen
