"Altjpugh dated, the Golden Grain Motel was very comfortable. Our double room was spacious, with a generously sized separate bedroom. "The whole property is tidy and clean but nothing luxurious. The spa and pool area were old but clean but when I asked for it to be opened within opening hours the reception lady didn’t tell me the spa needed $1 coins and the signage didn’t tell me $1 meant the spa worked for 5 mins and you needed to keep adding coins. A shame because the spa was really nice but I only had one coin. Take your coins if you want a spa😁"

"Room had a microwave which was great as I didn’t want to eat out. The fridge was difficult to close properly which was annoying and the TV didn’t work properly. The bed was nice and firm and well made and I had a good sleep notwithstanding the main road. The welcome I received was both genuine and warm. All in all a generally comfortable overnight stay."
