Penthouse in River Run w/ Slope Views & Short Walk to Lifts, Shops and Dining

This 1 bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse condo sleeps 6 with a king bed, one sleeper sofa, and one Murphy bed. It features a balcony that faces west and offers partial slope views to the south. Vaulted ceilings throughout. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The extra full bathroom is a great added convenience. There is slate at tile entryway and wood flooring throughout. It’s ideally located in River Run Village so you’re steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities and a walking distance to tge high-speed gondola. Red Hawk Lodge offers shared amenities including an outdoor pool and two hot tubs.

The entryway has slate tile, mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV mounted above a gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Near the living area is a Murphy bed that can be pulled out from the wall at night for additional sleeping arrangements. Extra sheets and blankets are in a closet. The homeowner has also provided a Blu-ray player and board games for your enjoyment. The balcony is just off of the living area. Take in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the partial slope views off to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats four. The first of two full bathrooms is located just off of the living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, a flat screen TV and a Blu-ray player. There is a built-in bench that offers storage and a place to take in the views. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a shower/tub combination.

Easy

Location makes everything easier! Quick walk to anything, leave car in the heated garage. Nice year round pool and hot tubs. Well equipped kitchen. Luggage carts to bring stuff in and out. Easy!

Snowboard trip!

Great overall stay. Clean cozy condo with wonderful views and a great location. Check in was a little complicated having to drive to the check in lock boxes and then having to drive to a separate property, all for our south elevator to get stuck on the 5th floor right as we are loading up the trolly to head in. Elevator was eventually sorted out so we could check in and had no issues moving forward. Other than the tight parking lot and elevator mishap, no complaints at all. Absolutely would book again!

Great stay

It was truly a great stay. This location is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the cities but yet close enough to get there within 10 to 15 minutes. Itself has everything you need. Enjoy your time at the resort. The check-in process was a little flaky and it would be nice if there was a map to your actual condo location because there’s a north and south side to the building. Got lost a couple times. Lol Be wary of construction in the area as this location is growing rapidly.

This time I stayed with my family. Unfortunately we all got sick, so it was a rough time, but the rental unit was great. I'm glad everyone was able to have their own bed since we were sick. The master bedroom had lots of room. I will definitely consider staying here again. Summit Country Mountain Retreats is my favorite property management company.

Location is great but basic infrastructure needs updating. We received an email on the date of the reservation indicating that heat and hot water were both not functioning. By the time we arrived, they were both working, but the unit was very cold due to the lack of heat throughout the day. By morning, the hot water was no longer working so we were unable to take showers. Other recent reviews have expressed the same issue. It seems to be a recurring problem that has not been addressed.

Red Hawk Penthouse

Pros; The king bed was very comfy. The location was good although the walk around the new building construction was not great. The spa area was very nice with two hot tubs and a steam shower. Bring a towel from the condo though as there are not always towels provided. Cons: The selection of pots for cooking was very limited. There were many lids but only one smaller pot, the other two were large stockpots. I looked in all the cupboards and there were several things that were just taking up space, i.e. a rice cooker with no lid, a plastic knife holder in a cupboard. The temperature of the water in the master bathtub was lukewarm, luckily the other bath was fine. A toaster that was not working was replaced quickly. A light was burned out in the ceiling above the door. These things I reported to management and hopefully they will be fixed for the next renter. The selection of pots though, I think that is an owner thing. There were multi

Excellent Stay at Red Hawk Lodge

We really appreciated the Murphy Bed for our teenage son. Very comfortable with all the amenities we were looking for. The property management company provided detailed instructions prior to arrival and everything was clearly communicated. For the most part the unit was clean and well maintained, but could use a good scrub. There was food on the walls next to the dining table and thick dust behind the bed.Also, the hot water was luke warm in the master shower however both sinks had hot water. It seems the cartridge for the shower needs replacing. The lukewarm shower was disappointing, however the other bathroom shower did have hot water. This was a minor inconvenience and would not prevent us from renting this unit again as everything else was so nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back some day. Thank you!
