This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 6 with king bed in primary, one queen bed, and queen sleeper sofa. It features courtyard views from both bedrooms and the living area. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities. Plus, you're a very short walk from the high-speed gondola. Buffalo Lodge offers shared amenities including 2 hot tubs. Guests of this vacation rental also get access to the amenities at the neighboring Dakota Lodge including 2 more hot tubs and an outdoor pool.

The entryway offers mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area features a flat screen, smart TV, a gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. Just off the living area is the private balcony with courtyard views.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats three, while there are three more seats at the breakfast bar. The first of two bathrooms is just down the hall and has a pedestal sink and a shower/tub combination. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, a flat screen, smart TV, and beautiful views. The en suite bathroom has double sinks with granite countertops, and a shower/tub combination. The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a smart TV.

Fabulous stay!

This property is a perfect summer getaway spot for a family. You’re right on the river run square, so you can walk to everything you need. The complex has mini golf Thursday-Monday. And there is a shared pool with three hot tub options. There are two bedrooms + a pull out sofa. We would definitely stay here again. Would note that there isn’t AC, but there are box fans for the windows.

Really liked it’s layout. Comfortable furnishings. Conveniently located to lots of dining options, so no need to drive anywhere for dinner. Shuttle stop just outside the building if you do want to go elsewhere but don’t feel like driving/finding parking. Fun view of the Buffalo sculpture and surrounding courtyard with the mountains beyond. Property management company very communicative; they answer questions quickly and are generally very helpful. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

December '23 Ski Trip for Family of Four

The condo was roomy enough for all of us without even using the sleeper sofa. Being located in the River Run village was great for skiing, shopping, and dining. The condo was very clean, the wi-fi was excellent and quiet in the evenings. The only minor complaint we had was one of two elevators was not working during our stay, and it happened to be the one that goes to and from the parking garage.

Family Ski Trip

My family and I stayed in the Buffalo Lodge, on the 3rd floor. I was able to request an early check in and it was granted an hour and half earlier than original check in time of 430. The text message to the property manager was very convenient. We had to go to the off site office to pick up the keys and welcome letter. In the check in letter it stated that we park in the underground parking garage and use elevators to our room. When we get there to unload, we found that the elevator was out of order and that we would either need to go up the stairs, or to go back out and unload in front of the lodge. It would have been helpful to know that information at check in. It was a very inconvenience. I was also informed by a returning family that the elevator was broken last year too. The room was nice and clean. Being right on base was very convenient. We stayed in a couple nights for dinner,- I would suggest better pots and pans for cooking and a regular large pot to boil noodles, as we made spaghetti so we had to use the small pot which was not easy. My kids really enjoyed the pool tables and hot tubs. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The elevator situation was really the worst part.

Upon our arrival, we discovered the elevator connecting to the parking garage was out of order, an issue which persisted throughout our stay. The lobby was consistently crowded every evening with individuals who didn't appear to be residents, which was peculiar. Moreover, there was an incident involving a ruptured pipe in one of the units, leading to a flooded corridor and excessive noise in the hallway and stairs.I would stay here again with slightly different expectations.

Great location and great property

We really enjoyed our stay at Riverrun / Buffalo Lodge, mainly due to the location to the slopes. We did a quick 4-day ski trip. Check-in = owner uses Summit County Mountain Retreats. They are great to work with. Super communicative and easy to get check-in info and process. Parking = super easy in the underground garage. Condo = clean, organized. plenty of bath and kitchen towels, bedding, humidifiers (3), Fans (3-4), cookware (plenty), dishsoap (yes), TVs in each bedroom & living room, garbage bags (yes), dishes (plenty), beds and pillows were comfy. Onsite laundry = on main level. You must pay with coins (I believe). We did not use. Slopes = easy walking distance Ski equipment = store your stuff in locker on main level or rent onsite. We brought our stuff. Complaints = none from us!! Overall size = It is not huge. Perfect size for two couples, a family of 3-4. Property was plenty big for my 18yo daughter & myself. Riverrun does have larger units if you need more room. This condo fit the listed description EXACTLY !! Thank you to owners and Summit County Mountain Retreats.

Fairly Good Stay But Not Without Issues

Reviewer Comments: The property was exceptionally clean, but the management seemed quite disorganized. We received numerous text messages before and during our stay about potential 'disruptions,' like closed amenities. However, these were often followed by messages saying the previous ones were sent in error. Unfortunately, the hot tubs were closed for part of our stay, and when they finally opened, we ended up with terrible rashes, indicating they were not well maintained.Our check-in experience was also frustrating. After picking up our keys and packet from the main office as instructed, we discovered the parking garage door was malfunctioning. When I called for help, the staff member I spoke to struggled with English and couldn’t resolve the issue. This led to us having to carry all our belongings up a flight of stairs and through several doors to reach the elevator—a challenging task for an elderly person with severe back problems.On the bright side, the staff was friendly and accommodating in other situations during our stay. I’d think twice before using this company again, but if the price were right, I might consider staying again, knowing what to expect.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental location was perfect as you are within 200 yards of the River Run gondola each morning. The amentities are what you would expect for accomodation in this price range, TV with local cable access, microwave, stove and dish washer. The master bed is large with en suite bath that is quite spacious (his and her sinks). The guest bath has plenty of room for vacationers in the guest suite or on the fold out sofa. Large balcony is also quite nice for enjoying coffee before heading out on the slopes. The hot tub for this properly is not that large but the heated pool and hot tubs associated with the sister property are quite big and each offers plenty of relaxation after a day on the slopes. Both elevators were broken upon our arrival into the condo which was extremely challenging given we had all our ski gear and had gone grocery shopping prior to arriving in the village. Updates from the property management company were delayed by about a day so we didn't find out the elevators were out until the day following our check in. Other than that the experience was a positive one that i would recommend to friends / family. Food choices are okay in the village however we found the food options better a short drive to Frisco.
