Sleeping on plywood

I should really take the time to write reviews when positive but unfortunately it is normally when negative. Terrible sleeping conditions and dated unit. The bed was like sleeping on plywood and the pillows were 20 years old. Will not be back

NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!!!

I booked this condo January 13th. This is NEAR Flying Dutchman, but NOT Flying Dutchman. More like WILD IRISH. OLD RUN DOWN!!!! The photos must be copied from somewhere else as it is NOTHING like them!!!! The bedroom does NOT have a King, but a queen. There is only ONE bathroom, not two, as the description says!!!!! I booked this for 5 nights, the minimum and notice now that it was updated on 2/14 and has ONE night, this Saturday taken. I am SURE that the owner decided to use the condo and bumped us out. We are now CRAMPED with only one bathroom. Plus, we are on 3rd floor, not 2nd. If you are wanting to stay HERE - don't trust the owner to bump you out! I am EXTREMEMLY disappointed. There is a review on here that says it was over booked and they were moved. I see a pattern here!!!!! VERY UPSET!!!!! I cannot recommend this property to anyone as you won't get this property!!!! If I would have booked where I am, that's one thing - I would have known the bed sizes and only one bathroom. Since the owner MOVED me WITHOUT TELLING ME - UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

Decent place, good location for ski shuttle

We are a family of five that rented this property (Two adults, 15 yr old, 12 yr old & 10 yr old). My kids loved the spiral staircase in the unit and the loft-style set-up of the “bedroom” with the two twin beds. My teen was agreeable with the pull out couch. We loved the fireplace in the unit and appreciated the shuttle back and forth to the mountain. The king master bed was borderline hard and the shower head in the downstairs bath (beside the master room) needs to be fixed. It was quite annoying to take a shower as it sprayed water everywhere. Also, if you plan to use the kitchen to make dinners, pack your own spatula. This kitchen could use a refresh on a few basic kitchen items that make cooking easier. And, don’t be afraid to shove the dishwasher shut bc that’s also requires shimmying in order to get it to close. It was a decent stay, especially with kids. If you stay on the Keystone resort property, you get kids ski free (12 & under) if you book at least two nights. Apparently there are more benefits, but the check in people really didn’t say much about it. We found out about more kids free benefits from someone working the ski slopes, but that was on the last day :( I would probably look for a similar property before I booked this one again bc of the things mentioned above. However, I wouldnt be opposed to staying here again.

Response to review from Matt H from Property Manager

As Keystone Resort Property Management, we would like to sincerely apologize that your expectations were not met regarding your stay in February. In researching your reservation we determined that it was an error on our part directly, not the owner, that caused the room reassignment. Thank you for the feedback and we will be reaching out to you directly to discuss the matter further.

Relaxing Keystone stay

We booked with the property management company, but did not get to stay in this unit because it was double booked for the weekend. (Not sure how that happened!) They gave us the option of a duplicate floor plan unit at another complex in the area, which we accepted. I can not review this particular unit, but want to express that the management company does great service. We called guest services a couple of times and got quick responses for what we needed. (Special thanks to the young man that came around and restocked our firewood.) Our unit was clean and had very comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen wasn't as updated as the advertised unit, but everything worked perfectly and was adequately stocked. We liked the wood fireplace that was in our unit - it added just the right touch for apres ski relaxation. Check-in was easy and the phone and go check-out was super. I got the emailed receipt within 30 minutes of checkout time. Keystone is a nice family friendly ski area. I recommend condo units on the west side. They are in a nice quiet area with lots of trees. The shuttle bus makes it easy to get to Mountain House for skiing and to connect to the rest of the Keystone area shuttles. Mountain House has a great children's ski area/ski school and easy access to the terrain park for the teen thrill-seekers. If you have a car, don't miss out on skiing A-basin. It is just a few miles up the road and your Keystone lift ticket is good there too. One reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the change in unit upon arrival, as mentioned above. The other was because of the automatic resort amenity fee which is added to the unit price. The "freebies" aren't really as free as one might think, though we did take advantage of the ice skating voucher. ( We had a great time at the lake rink.) The management company is honest about what they are charging you upon booking - but you have to speak up if you do not want to have trip insurance added or make a $1 a day donation to the forest foundation charity - otherwise these are included on your bill. I do not recommend this type of property for elderly or disabled as it is second floor (no elevator) and the narrow spiral stairs to the loft are best left to teens/young adults or to thin/fit people. Again, the service was great and we would willingly book again with this property manager. The fact that they could book us easily with only 5 days advance notice was quite impressive.
