Khao Lak Hotel Guide - Family Friendly Hotels in Khao Lak, Takua Pa

"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. Perhaps the absence of high end...

"This is an excellent hotel with amazing service. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the manager Vee couldn't do enough for us, arranging trips and tours and giving lots of local advice. We were so sad to leave and will definetly be back. I loved the fresh flowers in my room everyday. A wonderful stay that we will always remember. "

"Great place for a family holiday. Kids 5 and 7 absolutely loved it. Went to kids club daily which got them out of the heat. Loved the slides, kids water park. The pools were hot, not refreshing. The rooms had great air con, which was needed as it was so hot. We ate outside the hotel every night, and easy to get tuk tuk, or walk. Lots around this hotel. Would highly recommend to families was young kids. "

"Walking distance to beach but no access to beach chairs with no shade at beach. Resort nice pool and massage on site. There was issues with room requested one queen bed did not get got two twins instead did not say anything. My complaint about property was the manager the room was extremely hot and manager would not allow another key to improve this and stated she is saving the environment which I corrected this is not saving environment saving money only. I was not happy it was too warm in...

"What we liked the best was the closeness to local market plus the options of different places to eat. The pool was great place to meet people. "

"Terrible check in experience. Waited a long time..they wouldn’t show us to our room and we didn’t get a welcome drink or towel (others did). They then tried to put us in a triples bed room with 2 single beds pushed together. I arranged the romantic dinner..and it was a surprise.. yet TWICE staff approached me in the days before the meal to confirm details of the surprise meal. "
