Basic but nice hotel ideal for a stopover for 1-3 nights. Well furnished and very clean. Room & bathroom decent size and very clean. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Located in quiet part of town. Ten minutes walk to train station, shops, buses and the fjord. If in the area in the future, I would definitely stay here again.

OK for the right price

I had a very bad stay i am a British citizen and I have to wear a special mask instructed by my dr I have a letter but the reception was very rude and sad it’s not valid or r the letter and they did want to accept my fully vaccinated digital certificate

I booked Double bed and ended up with 2 single beds, it would have been helpful to just check booking details, breakfast is not for me , a good English breakfast would have been nice. .. all they had was boiled eggs and bread

Interesting hotel in quiet street.
An interesting hotel with all rooms different in a quiet back street. Our large room had a separate seating area and its own balcony with table and chairs. Modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights, and we didn't see any traces of the housekeeping, despite the fact that we leave the key at the reception. The breakfast selection was poor. The room we've got wasn't soundproofed at all, we hear a lot of noise from outside. And at about 7am the smell of the kitchen preparing the breakfast is spreaded over the ventilation system, as well as tobacco smoke from time to time.

Reasonable for the price
A decent-size room with a large window that opens wide (helpful in summer, as there is no AC -- the weather in Kiel rarely is warm enough for this to be a problem), and with basic amenities, although nothing too special. It's quiet enough: the hotel is located on a side street near the center of today's city, a little ways away from the touristy, old-town center. They offer an OK breakfast. Do be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs to the second floor.

Conveniently situated
Hotel very clean and friendly with excellent staff. Only negative was the conduct of other hotel occupants being loud after 11pm at night and the curtains in our room not a good fit for the windows if one is a light sleeper. Cannot fault the staff however.

This is a very nice small hotel right in the center of Kiel. The staff are incredibly friendly and the free breakfast buffet is quite good as well. The price for a room is very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Ein angenehmes, wenn auch älteres Hotel. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten bequem, die Ausstattung großzügig. Die Einrichtung selbst mag zwar schon ein paar Tage älter sein, dies tut dem Komfort allerdings keinen Abbruch getan. Ein einziges Manko gäbe es insbesondere für Immobile Gäste: das Hotel verfügt leider über keinen Fahrstuhl.

Das "altmodische" Ambiente ist toll. Dieses Hotel hat eine Traditionsgeschichte, das sollte erhalten bleiben Nicht jeder mag modern gleichgeschaltete Wohnklötze, in denen die scheinbare Perfektion einen frösteln lässt. Liebevoll hergerichtetes Frühstück und super nettes Hotelpersonal. Wenn nach Kiel, dann da hin. Ein Restaurant braucht es nicht unbedingt, denn es gibt in nächster Umgebung genug Möglichkeiten. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt, auch der Preis ist moderat. Danke ans Consul

Das sogenannte DELUXE DOPPELZIMMER war nicht deluxe, sondern von den Möbeln her eher unterer Standard: es fehlten Vorhänge für die Nacht - es gab nur Plissees an den Scheiben; es gab keinen Papierkorb im Zimmer, kein Glas im Zimmer - im Badezimmer gab es einen Halter, der winzig kleine Plastikbecher ausgab. Im Badezimmer war keine Heizung, der Heizkörper im Zimmer wärmte das Zimmer nicht genügend. Außerdem kein Fahrstuhl, obwohl das Hotel drei Stockwerke hat. Ich weiß nicht, welche Zimmer die schönen Fotos der Webseite des Hotels zeigen: Mein Zimmer war es nicht! Der Clou aber: Am Samstag war ab 20:00 niemand mehr an der Rezeption. Ich musste ins Krankenhaus und rief eine "Notfallnummer" des Hotels an: Man bat mich, den Schlüssel im Zimmer zu lassen. Ich musste die Nacht dann allerdings doch nicht im Krankenhaus bleiben und rief wieder das Hotel an, damit mich jemand durch die äußere Eingangstür hinein lässt - mein Schlüssel lag ja im Zimmer. Niemand wollte kommen und mich einlassen: Weihnachtsfeier. Aber man wollte mich "gleich" zurückrufen - darauf warte ich noch heute... Ich habe dann für die Nacht ein anderes Hotel buchen müssen und so die eine Nacht doppelt bezahlt. Das Hotel Consul sieht mich nie wieder.

Hotellet lå rogtog godt i forhold til gågade og shoppingcenter. Værelserne og badeværelserne var en god størrelse. Parkeringsbrikken virkede ikke til parkeringskælderen, men receptionisten gik ikke ud og hjalp os, da vi nævnte det. Derudover aftalte vi at betale for morgenmad og parkering, når vi tjekkede ud. Alligevel blevjeg bedt om at betale dagen efter, og derefter ringet op tre gange for at komme og betale. Har virkelig ikke oplevet noget lignende! Det var som om, de ikke stolede på vi ville betale ved udtjekning. Jeg fik at vide, at det var fordi, der ikke ville være en i receptionen næste morgen. Men det var der. Da vi var ved at pakke bilen stod de også og holdte øje med os og kom ud og spurgte, om vi havde afleveret nøglerne, selvom vi sæet ikke var færdige på værelser og stadig skulle bruge toilettet. Vi følte os decideret overvåget. Rengøringen brasede bare ind på det ene værelse kl. 9 om morgenen, selvom vi var der. På det andet kom de slet ikke. Madrasserne var ret dårlige, og der var stor forskel på temperaturen på de to værelser. Det ene var fint. Det andet var iskoldt.

De luxe værelse som ikke svarede til forventninger. Meget lille badeværelse, billeder viste stort. 3/4 seng, der stod Quen size seng. Nusset og beskidt tapet over lavt hovedgærde. Dårlig belysning, billedet viste fine lysekroner, her var 1plafon i den ene halvdel af værelset. Hylde i klædeskab, som lå på skrå, da den var for bred til skabet. Virkelig dårligt at vise så fine og flotte billeder, og så får vi det helt modsatte. Det eneste der passede til beskrivelsen var størrelsen på værelset. Morgenmaden var simpel, brødet tørt den første dag. Mega dårlig stil at reklamere med noget man slet ikke får, selv om jeg har valgt at betale ekstra for “De luxe”. Uden at vise at man også risikere at få noget andet, med billeder. Føler mig taget ved næsen

Vi var der to overnatninger men det virkede meget koldt på værelset selvom fer var skruet helt op for varmen men hvad kan man forvandt til den pris. Megen sød og venligt personale og tæt på centrum
