Welcome to our family’s top floor two bedroom two bath Hale Kamaole view condo for up to six people at Kamaole Beach Park III, with mesh wifi that provides high speed coverage throughout. Recent updates include 3-zone mini split air conditioning with separate wall-mounted temperature controls for the common area and each bedroom (new in 2025), a walk-in shower (2025), 55 inch TV (2025), bedroom/living room furniture, fold out couch, window coverings, and a six-person dining table (2023), and washer/dryer, fridge, and dishwasher (2022).

Set high near the back of the complex, away from traffic. Walking distance to Wailea and Keawakapu Beach, and across the street from Kam III beach park. Fully equipped kitchen for the days and nights you want to eat at home, with poolside grills for outdoor cooking.

Don’t miss the sunrise walks and the sunset blowing of the conch, and enjoy your time of peace at Hale Kamaole 338.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently spent a week in Maui on a family vacation. We needed to find a few places for lodging as we had three groups of family members attending. My wife and I stayed in Hale Kamaole. Our unit was towards the rear of the complex as we were looking for a quiet location. From the lanai, we could look out to the ocean and over the central common area with the pool(s) and BBQ areas.Our unit was clean, somewhat older, but well maintained. The AC worked well, and the kitchen allowed us to cook a few meals while we were there. One of the bathrooms had some caulking that could use replacement, but it was pretty minor.The condo is a 10-15 minute walk from the shops, and we loved walking to grab coffee and breakfast and sitting at the beach in the mornings. The office staff was helpful, and we had a great visit.

Unit was perfect for our family. Twin beds for the kids and wall to wall carpeting for my feet! Everything we needed across from a family-friendly beach great for boogie boarding and snorkelling. A lifeguard too! We'll be back:)

We needed zero extra linens, towels, etc. Anytime there was an issue with anything the maintenance worker came immediately. I will def try and get 338 again! We are also so bummed we forgot to write in the book! But I knew this place was meant for us. We came on my bday July 2- which is a day we had celebrated my dads passing in 2017 and my parents (both deceased) were heavy on my mind. We walk into 338 and walk up the stairs- first thing I see is a big picture- artist name RUDY. Rudy is my dads name! This whole trip was meant to be ❤️

Having stayed in Lahaina before, Kihue was a nice change - easier access to sights and a very "local" feel. The condo was spacious and had all the amenities we needed for the week.

We appreciated the extras- lots of kitchen supplies and boogie boards and beach chairs in the closet. A sink was blocked on arrival and was fixed immediately. What great service! The outdoor shower entering the property wasn't working during our stay so we used the one on the grass at the beach park. Checking in and out after hours was no problem, which was great since our flight times were horrible and our flights were delayed!

Great Stay but rules don't seem to be enforced

Location was awesome beach directly across was good for snorkeling, swimming or boogie boarding! View was wonderful. Noise from the pool carries right into the condos and the rules of noise/horseplay was not enforced and there is no one around after the office closed to deal with it. One day there was a kids birthday party and they smashed a bottle of wine on the pool deck, had a piñata and were very loud. Multiple nights of kids playing marco/polo in the pool.

Reviewer Comments: We love Kehei, and location of the Hale Kamaole units, we've stayed at the complex before. down side this tim ewas this particular untin doesn't look like its had any upgrades since the complex was built 40+ years ago. Also the ceiling was absolutely filthy, around the ceiling fans it looked like an inch (or 40 years) worth of dust hanging down. Over all we always loved the area, But when paying $600 + per night american, you should be able to have a unit that is spotless and something that's been reno'd at least once in the past 40 + years

Reviewer Comments: Overall, all functioning unit except the furniture (specifically the Dining table, chairs and beds) were loose, shaking and the table frame can come off easily. Got a visit from handyman but even he agreed that nothing much can be done about this old furniture. Even the ceilings in rooms were very dirty...had some spider webs handing.I am not being picky and not expecting a sparkling luxury unit but a clean and functioning items is the least I expected.Apart from that, all operational appliances helped.

Construction noise and outdated amenities.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The next-door condo was under construction the whole time during our stay (M – F, 9am to 5pm except the weekend). Also, our water was shut off for one day for a few hours 11am to 1pm for street construction. The construction noise was irritating and annoying. The unit only had window AC units in each bedroom (2), none for the living area/kitchen. The doors of each bedroom had to be open the whole time to cool down the condo while other condos had an upgraded mini-split AC in the living room area. The microwave handle was broken, the fridge door would slam against the wall cause the floor wasn’t level, there was no tv in the upstairs bedroom and the upstairs bathroom shower head was too short you had to crouch to shower. Other than that, everything else was great. I would stay again at Hale Kamole but do your research on units that have mini-split AC for the living area. Also, this unit does not have a loft like other condos. Please update and install a mini-split in the living area like the other condos. A heads-up for construction would have been nice and a discount for the inconvenience doesn’t have to be a huge discount but any discount to the customer is meaningful. It’s good practice to keep your customers updated with any negatives that would impact their stay.

This condo was not thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. Hair was left in sink & shower, toilets were not clean, countertops in kitchen were dirty. This unit is the least cared for unit we have ever stayed in during our 2x a year visits since 2015. Even the beach gear was with broken, ripped or torn. This unit needs attention on all fronts and needs upgrading by the owners asap. The lanai appears to be cracking and felt unsafe to be out on, sliding glass/ screen door were unable to fully close or lock. We paid over $2,500 for this unit during our stay and feel we should not have had to do housekeeping before we could unpack our belongings. This unit was not good.

Air-conditioning extra blankets all of the kitchen essentials and more. In the storage closet on the lanai there were chairs to take to the beach, boogie boards, pool noodles and snorkel gear. The pool in this condo is incredible. Lots of lounge chairs to relax and very clean. We would absolutely return to this condo again with our family.

Wonderful week-great apartment

We had a blast on Maui but also in this apartment. It was very well equipped with all kitchen items you will need as a family and very clean. Nice view on the pool, close location to grocery stores, bars, restaurants and to start day trips. We would always love to come back!

It is conveniently located across the street from a great beach for boogie boarding, swimming, and snorkling. Great weather this time as well with only a small bit of rain on one day in three weeks.

Great location!

What a lovely place to stay. This condo is a very quick walk to a wonderful beach (right across the street) and a block at most from a number of restaurants and stores. Parking was easy, and off street, but you could walk to many places easily. They provide so many things! Beach towels were available, beach toys and chairs, all kinds of things.

Great place in a great location

I stayed here with 2 family members and girlfriend for a week period. The condo had plenty of amenities to make our stay fun and relaxing with sufficient space so we were crammed all together. When we weren't watching the sunset on the beach we could be found watching it from the balcony. The location was literally across the street from the beach and within walking distance to several restaurants and stores. Overall this was a great place to stay for our first visit to Hawaii.

Clean, private, comfortable and fully equipped kitchen. A lot of table games, but we didn’t play any as by the time we got home, we ate snd went to bed!. Enjoyed our stay! Would stay again. The only thing I didn’t like was the carpeting- though clean, I would prefer tile flooring near the beach.

Great amenities and proximity to beach

We had a wonderful time staying here. It is walking distance from the beaches in Kihei with fantastic snorkeling right from the beach and a nice longer walk to the resorts in Wailea. We also appreciated all of the amenities including beach chairs, boogie boards and the on site tennis court. The only minor drawback was that the wifi was extremely slow and the cell service is limited. This is a great place to unplug - but don’t expect to make any important video calls. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
