Stunning Remodeled 2BD/2BA Oceanview Condo

Kauhale Makai (Village by the Sea) truly embodies paradise. This newly remodeled 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo has been beautifully updated, boasting a brand-new kitchen complete with granite countertops and high-end appliances.

The elegantly designed bedrooms and bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay. Located on the fourth floor, the condo provides stunning ocean views from the primary bedroom, kitchen, living room, and lanai. Relax on the lanai while watching palm trees sway and enjoying the sight of whales and windsurfers in the shimmering ocean.

The Kauhale Makai resort boasts a beautifully tiled pool, jacuzzi, kiddie pool, putting green, and shuffleboard. Guests can also enjoy free access to public tennis and pickle ball courts just south of the condo. A large grassy area with palm trees separates the resort from the beach—no roads to cross!

Additionally, enjoy free, fiber optic, high-speed internet access. Accommodations include a king-size bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds OR (convertible to a king) in the second bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa, comfortably sleeping up to six guests.

With no stairs to climb, two elevators service all six floors of the complex. We are fortunate to have central air conditioning, a rare amenity in north Kihei condos!

Stroll along the beach to downtown Kihei for shopping and dining, or visit the Pacific Whale Foundation's outpost for seasonal whale watching (mid-December to mid-May). Less than ten miles from Kahului Airport, this condo is centrally located to everything on Maui, including the island's best beaches.

The place was clean, great views of the beach/sceneries. Close to most restaurants in Kihei and Wailea. Communication with host was great, very thorough and detailed. Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Maui

We absolutely loved sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean. Inside the condo everything was also wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked as were the closets w/beach gear. The one GOOD thing in the kitchen that I wish I had known before arriving was that there was a Keurig coffee maker as well as a brewing machine. The only thing we felt was missing was an attendant to wait on us and bring us our beverages--lol.

The condo was in great condition and was very clean. The rooms, cupboards, dishes, pot and pans, and balcony were all clean and orderly. In addition to extra bed linens and towels, there were beach towel, mats, umbrella, boogie boards, noodles and chairs. This made it easy to walk the short distance to the beach and have an enjoyable time near the ocean. We used the balcony every day and enjoyed its beautiful view. Stephen responded within minutes to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this condo and will definitely rebook this VRBO when we return to Maui.

Great place to stay!

The place was just as described and was super clean! I had to contact the owner once and he was super responsive and promptly helped us out. We had a great time and the location of the condo is a short walk from the beach with a great view.

We highly recommend staying here. The view is wonderful. The room was very clean and updated. We greatly appreciated staying here. Only two minor issues: 1) The address should include the building name as there are two buildings. We arrived in the dark and had difficulty locating the room as there are two separate buildings. We did not see the building name that was listed in the driving directions as we only used the address. 2) I'm sure it was noted but we were surprised to see that there was no washer/dryer in the unit. Not a huge issue as they had pay for use washers in the building. If you have any doubts, just stay here. You will love it.

Location, close to restaurants and shopping village too!

This condo is in a fantastic location with a comfortable living space, perfect for a beach getaway. It’s equipped with everything you need for a fun time by the water. Each bedroom has a private bathroom, which adds convenience and privacy. While there’s no oven and the laundry isn’t in the unit, the overall comfort makes up for it. The deck overlooking the water, accessible from both the living room and one bedroom, is a highlight—ideal for relaxing and taking in the view. Highly recommend for a beachside stay!

Kihei was Key :)

Was better than the pictures. Loved the balcony and the hot tub!! A little bit of TV problems, but not a big deal for us, and I think Stephen would have fixed it quickly if I made it a bigger deal. Great local spots to eat & drink VERY close by! Go to Nalu's for happy hour, Java Cafe for coffee/pastries, and Diamonds if you want to catch all the games while you're away!

Could be a fairy tale

This little condo is a gem. Not too fancy, not too spartan. It is modestly furnished but has a soft bed, stocked kitchen, and plenty of thoughtful extras needed for a beach trip. After all, that’s the whole point of being in Hawaii! The view from both the living room and main bedroom showcases a wide green space with easy access to a narrow but delightfully uncrowded beach. Although the parking lot was at least half full, we never heard anyone else unless we were at the pool. A nice surprise was that (at least in spring) the balcony is sheltered from the sun just enough to keep the chairs from burning bare skin without ever feeling like it’s too shaded. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would stay here again!

Great base to explore Maui

This clean and comfy place had a stunning lanai, privacy for adults and good sep. beds for kids, and everything we needed to enjoy everything. Highly recommend! The only weird thing is second bedroom windows are sealed shut and a vent from other peoples cooking seems to send air in that room. Garlic smell woke kids up! Should also leave some instruction for the lights.

Great stay in Kihei

My family of four enjoyed our time in this condo. Stephen was an amazing communicator throughout not only the booking process, but also answered questions as we got closer to check in. And he went above and beyond to restore wifi service quickly when we reported it wasn’t working. The unit itself is cozy but comfortable for a short stay. It is amazingly well stocked with ample towels and linens and the kitchen was great as well (fyi no oven but there is a stove and microwave). Laundry is in the building not in the unit. Nice ocean view from the terrace. Would stay here again!

Nice stay for our family of four

Almost everything we needed was in the condo (beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards), but get your own snorkel gear. Location convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and drug stores. We ended up renting paddleboards, and there is a board storage area at the front of each building (you need to provide your own padlocks). We saw turtles off the beach at the condo, but definitely get in the car and drive south for good snorkeling. The view from the lanai is half beautiful ocean and half parking lot. A small complaint is that it is very easy to hear the upstairs neighbors (scooting chairs, moving furniture??) and smell their cooking through the ventilation.
