WE NOW HAVE A MITSUBISHI HEAT PUMP/AIR CONDITIONER UNIT INSTALLED FOR YOUR COMFORT! THIS ENABLES US TO EXTEND OUR SEASON...OPENING EARLIER AND CLOSING LATER. STARTING IN 2022 IS OUR "WELCOME TO THE CABIN" GOODIES WHEN YOU ARRIVE.

The perfect cabin for a quiet getaway! Gaze at the stars under a clear Big Sky night at our special star gazing area located off to the side of the cabin nestled in some tall trees…. it is magical!!! Enjoy wildlife right outside your front door and wake up in the morning to a peaceful mountain view. This cabin is located on our 32 acre property. It backs to logging land with a path that leads to it just off the cabin. You have access to miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

We now have a star gazing area where you can sit, enjoy your favorite beverage and look at the Montana big sky. This will allow you to view the Big Sky that Montana is known for with out the city lights to hinder the night sky. You will not believe the brilliance of the stars and planets.



While the cabin is located on our property, rest assured that you will have complete privacy to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. The cabin is down a path and surrounded by trees! There is a queen size bed on the main floor, a queen bed in the loft which is accessed by a ladder and a full size futon on the main floor.

We are located within 40 minutes of Glacier National Park, 45 min from Whitefish, Big Mountain, Bigfork, the Jewel Basin or Flathead Lake and we have countless trails within walking distance or a short drive. The options are endless for what you can do from this location. This is also a perfect base for hunting big game in Montana ( you must obtain your own license). There is fishing in Smith Lake which is 10 min away, or you can drive to Flathead Lake and take a day trip out on one of the many charter boats. White water rafting is another activity that is fantastic on the Flathead River!

We can help you plan any of the activities that you would like to enjoy. Please let us know what you're looking for and we're happy to help make your stay more enjoyable.

HORSE BOARDING is available through our neighbor less than 1 mile away.

We have now installed a Generac stand by generator that automatically comes on in about 10 seconds after losing power and operates the entire cabin!!!!!

Cabin in the woods

The cabin is small, comfortable with limited kitchen space. Loft is comfortable but difficult for older people and small children to access.The wood stove is a nice asset but owners charged for wood. The optional breakfast was very good but the optional lunch was dusapppinting.

Anniversary getaway.

This was a wonderful get away for our anniversary! Doug and Mimi were the best. We loved seeing deer and turkeys every day and the cool crisp mountain air was just what we needed.

PERFECT mountain cabin!

BEST place we have ever stayed. Cabin was perfect. Clean, quiet, and GREAT location. Hosts were hands down the nicest folks. The offered breakfasts and picnic lunches Mimi made are awesome! I’d go back there tomorrow if I could!!!!

Nice place, nice experience, would stay again!

My parents stayed here for their 50th wedding anniversary as a gift from their children. We chose this place for the location, privacy and meal options (for an extra fee). The hosts were very attentive and communicated well. They were keen to make the anniversary trip special for my parents and it was a great experience for all involved. I would definitely recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a nice, cozy private place to stay in NW Montana.

We had a great stay at Mimi and Doug’s cabin! We had Mimi’s breakfast one morning and it was absolutely delicious! They were both very sweet and we enjoyed our stay!

Loved the breakfast delivered to door both days! Could use additional comfortable seating outside on porch as well as in front room. Location was beautiful in the woods and very quiet.

Cozy Cabin review

We had a really great stay at this cabin. It has everything we needed to be comfortable. It is peacefully secluded in woods and meadows, near ranch and farm land, and it was easily accessible. The hosts were beyond polite and professional. They were super friendly and helpful. If you have a chance to take advantage of breakfasts and picnic lunches that they can provide you should do it. They were fantastic. All in all we cannot say enough good things about this place.

Nice quiet cabin with awesome hosts

We came in to deal with some family business in the area and decided to stay at Doug & Mimi's cabin. They were very accommodating, as our flights were all late. They have a very clean and accessible cabin. It's far enough to get some glorious views (sunset and star) and close enough to be in town quickly. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for some solitude, but amenities near by. Doug and Mimi were awesome, informative and hospitable. First class host!

Quiet and tucked away, just what we needed!

My partner and I needed a nice get away from our busy lives, and this was just the place. Tucked away but easy to find, we were able to completely relax and shut out thoughts of life outside this quiet cabin. We were greeted by the friendliest hosts who felt like family by the time we left. Each morning Mimi delivered the most incredible homemade breakfast. It was so hard to leave this place we really wish we could call our own forever. Will definitely be back!!

The property was beautiful. The cabin was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The loft sleeping area had a nice big bed that our two kids (8 and 11) shared. The mini kitchen had a good selection of wares.

Clean, quiet cabin that offers a unplugged time unless you choose to connect to their wifi. Surrounding areas have lots to offer, and Glacier isnt that far of a drive. The Hosts were the kindest I have encountered. I do plan to stay there again!
