"The room was exceptionally clean, the bed and bedding were very comfortable . We have stayed here for several years the restaurant serves good tasty food which you can take upto your room if you just want to relax. The renovations are new and modern and well done. We usually book a King room if we are staying for one or two nights, any longer we book the comfort King, a bit more room with a sofa. The door to your room is a slow and quiet close no need to pull it shut with a bang, helps keep the halls quiet when others are sleeping. The exterior is up for little renovation so do not be discouraged if it has not been completed it all takes time. I would give the Pinewood Motel. 5 star however I feel. 4 1/2 would be appropriate until the outside has been spruced up, nothing major just a touch up here and there. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be sorry."

"This cottage is very charming and right on the lake. Sunsets were lovely. It is well decorated and supplied. Julian, the host answered my e-mails very quickly and was very friendly and welcoming."

"The cottage was clean and comfortable. The views of the bay was beautiful. One suggestion was to have a safer place to throw out the garbage, animals got into the shed from the bottom of the door and we had to clean up the mess. Otherwise it was a lovely stay, very scenic bike routes around the island."

"We loved our stay there! Secluded and rustic, exactly what you picture when you talk about staying on a cabin on an island. Nice docks in a protected little area from the wind. Place could use a good cleaning and get rid of the old coffee pots that either don't work or are enough of a mess you can't clean them enough. The owner was very responsive with any questions. I will say you need to make sure you can get a water taxi when you get there. We had our own boat so wasn't an issue but would have been otherwise. The water is beautiful and crystal clear. Fishing was good even right off the docks. The kayaks and paddle boards were great fun. The fire pit was great. It is a great set up. We had a wonderful time."
