"Jennie was so warm and welcoming. It is such a gorgeous property. The unit itself was immaculately presented, with quality linens and towels and a large, comfortable bed, reminiscent of a 5-star hotel. There was fresh fruit, cake, and milk, plus other thoughtful touches. We will be back."

"Comfort. Elegance. Luxury. These three words best describe this highly curated King Valley property. Staying here for two nights of relaxation and rejuvenation after four weeks of road travel around Tasmania and Victoria is worth every dollar, and is a perfect self-care indulgence. I will be saving again in the next five years for another pampering stay here when I turn 70. It is a great goal to stay alive!"

"We were unexpectedly upgraded to a family apartment. It is an older motel but the room had been renovated where necessary, including the bathroom. The kitchen was functional, not flash, with all necessary utensils, and there is also a laundry. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and warm. It would be a good place to use as a base to explore the surrounds."

"Chris was a great host, showing us all of the property and the animals at the retreat.There was a lot to see in the area which was easily accessible from the property. We all had really good night sleep as the house is naturally warm and the surrounds are dark and quiet.Recommend as a base to see King Valley, Beechworth and Myrtleford or just to relax inside or out."
