Super cozy! Gives an extremely nice ski lodge vibe. Stayed in a shared room, beds were comfy, bathroom was very nice! I only filled my water bottles but very well equipped shared kitchen.

Amazing stay

I was so pleasantly surprised by the Hostel of Maine! I booked last minute, but was blown away by how beautiful the building was, how well designed the interior was and the staff (Maggie!) was great! Can’t beat the location to Sugarloaf. Would absolutely stay again!

We booked an overnight for skiing the next day. The hostel was close to the mountain, was easy to find, was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too!

Melanie and Justin were wonderful hosts, and Zack welcomed us so nicely. The property and private room we had were all incredibly well maintained, and for a busy hostel, they were able to make us feel like we were coming home after a long day of travel. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and our young children were welcomed and had a great time. Wish we were able to stay longer!

Great place to stay

I was a little skeptical about a shared bunk room, but the place ended up being wonderful. The property is very new and nice, bathroom was perfect, everything felt clean and new. The staff (Justin) was awesome, very friendly and accommodating. I was there for Sugarloaf marathon and they provided us a pasta dinner and late checkout for all of us.

I think sometimes the word hostel has some bad connotations but. this was the most beautiful bed and breakfast like property I've ever been in and the staff was extremely welcoming helpful and friendly. You feel like you're coming home after a adventurous day on the mountains.

Everything about The Hostel of Maine impressed me. The location was perfect, free shuttles to local restaurants and ski resort. Great customer service! Beautiful place! I expected to go just once. I just left and I already want to go back. Definitely a 10 out of 10!
