The stuff were very nice, unfortunately I got sick during the trip and one of the employees Tegra made sure I had a ginger tea which helped me. This hotel is very clean inside and all employees are ver professional.

Hotel is inaccessible due to road construction being done in front of the hotel. Canalisation leak, with smelly water floading the road. Also a large high rise building in construction behind the hotel, as result hotel is surrounded by noise night all day. Would not recommend staying there for the next months. Staff is friendly

Selton is a very clean hotel, super cleaning services and rooms. However, the welcome staff provide confusions information, you pay double room but items in the room not aligned accordingly, you ask for a service one staff refuses another serves you kindly! This is crazy. The hotel would be even better if they thought of gym and pool.

More to be done to reflect what you are paying

Due to my flight being missed i booked this hotel and upon arriving in the hotel , the receptionist did not explain much i had to prompts him !! upon arriving in my room they were cockroaches on the wall living their best life . Housekeeping was excellent however breakfast selection was not vast , very limited and there was a call called Joel K and he worked in the restaurant He was the worst it’s like he was forced to work , never greeted customer instead give me a look like i was dirt . However the older server who use to make me Hot chocolate was amazing . This is hotel isn’t 5 or 4 * however i would say a good 3* and the location is also central ish . It’s expensive for what you get but then remember you are in Congo !

Be weary of being conned by hotel staff

Other than a traumatic pick up experience with the hotels driver which i was charged via email confirmation, the hotel was okay. I wont go into details on what happened as the hotel apolagised for my experience. On the last day i paid for a night stay on Sunday 14th September 2025 to which the colleague of a worker called Bellamy told me i would have to pay a certain amount. I informed him i had paid for the previous days booked a different price. He informed me he would give me the change later on but he didn't. I chased this up with staff as the guy didnt turn up to work but was told that he hadnt left anything. Also, i asked the restaurant staff if they do food service and one of the staff told me those. Fortunately, the other staff brought my food to me for free. The hotel is clean however, the constant need to con my money from some of staff put me off continuing my stay. A main concern was the lack of english speaking staff which really shocked and frustrated me as staff would continuously laugh at me. Papy, Bellamy and Chris were the only staff who really made the effort to make me feel comfortable.

Great Stay - Apr 3 - Apr 10 2023.

Great experience, wonderful people. Breakfast was amazing every morning for the duration of our stay. No concern with late check-in. We had no issues checking-in after 10:00pm. Only thing was the size of the room was small. We booked for 2 persons, but the room was for 1 person. We were provided with 1 pair of slippers, 1 towel. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay, security guards were also kind and very professional.

We arrived and there were no rooms. Reception said they had sent a cancellation via Expedia, but we never received it (and me getting asked to review the stay shows it was not sent). They offered little to no help to find another hotel (and it was 11pm!). Gladly the receptionist of the hotel next door helped us by phoning other hotels in the area.

This hotel doesn’t accept Mastercards. Especially if they are US MASTERCARDS. They made me feel terrible because my card couldn’t be processed and held off my passport until I was able to sort this out with another card the following day. I’ve tried to meet the manager with no success. I will never go back to this place and I won’t recommend it to anyone.

The cleaning staff are great, the kitchen/breakfast staff, and the men at the front desk. There is one lady who apparently is the top dog who is a rude. There is nothing worse than when the top management act better than the guests. The beds/mattresses have not been changed since they opened. The bedding etc all the exact same as 2018. The price keeps going up but wear and tear and quality of actual rooms is degrading. I literally slept in the cave in the mattress made by the 1000s of bodies that slept there before. For $150/night this is inexcusable.

Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Stadt was sehr gut ist . Ich würde es auf einer Skala von 1 bis 10 mit einer 7 bewerten. Die Umgebung ist sehr gut, allerdings ist es morgens recht laut, da die Straße stark befahren ist. Abgesehen davon war alles in Ordnung.
