"The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better! The room looked onto the pool and was beautiful. The rain couldn’t be helped but it was quite loud against the roof of the room. The Sri Lankan breakfast after my safari was lovely and I also had dinner the night before, however I would say there wasn’t very clear communication of timings or where to go once I checked in but for dinner the guy from the hotel on WhatsApp answered all of my questions."

From the kindness of the staff, the aeshetic of the place, the sound of the ocean right by the hotel. Everything was just perfect. The attention to details is beyond and I can safely say it has been one of of our best stay as a couple ! The staff helped us to organize everything and was so helpful during our stay. If you're looking for a place to rest, eat the best food and have the most relaxing vacation, you found the perfect place !"

"A peaceful nature retreat with incredible fresh food. Our stay at Kalu’s Hideaway was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We loved the wholesome farm-to-table dining—tasting fresh red dragon fruit straight from the garden, sweet pineapples, mangos, and delicious Sri Lankan vegetables. The property itself is surrounded by nature. The butterfly garden was an unexpected treat, and waking up to the tranquil morning sounds of birds overlooking the Udawalawe reserve canopy was magical. You can even spot local wildlife right on the grounds, from vibrant water lilies in the ponds to land monitor lizards wandering past. It was such a serene and relaxing escape!"
