"We had a wonderful time - nice place, great location. The checkin email they sent was confusing - the phone number they provided took me to Vail instead of Kirkwood, and the email said there wouldn't be anyone staffing the front desk, but there was (thankfully) - because that is how we had to get the entry code. The people at Kirkwood lodge mentioned that others have raised the confusion. Only other feedback was there were certain things missing from the kitchen like scissors, or bigger mugs...

"Great stay, however, jacuzzi took almost an hoir to fill in the room. Washer and dryer for the guest did not work very well, we ended up spending the rest of our day at a laundrymat to finish tje clothes. Ice machine was also not working. "If you want to stay somewhere you can find peace this isn’t the place When my wife found someone had left a stain on sheets she asked me to remove them and I had found the mattress cover stained with two pee stains on it and took a picture of it After three days of fighting and noise above us we decided to cut our trip short and go home No one really cleans this place at all. The only a/c was a portable a/c unit in the bedroom that was turned off. "Great property- good location, nice rooms, and friendly staff members. Also very dog friendly! Walking distance to lakeside beach (private beach) - stay included vouchers for the beach which are $30/per person. Note that lakeside beach is not dog friendly but Nevada beach, which is just a few mins drive away, has a small dog friendly area. The hotel has smores at night, coffee / drinks in the morning and all afternoon, and happy hour from 3-6pm (HH is $2 off wine, beer, or cocktails). The room had a lot of shelf space, and the furnishings in the bathroom were nice. We had a good view of the road from our room; it felt private and secluded. We didn’t hear any neighbors around or above us. Note that the property is several buildings , and they can be across the street. Parking was convenient right in front of our room / building. We were also in walking distance to heavenly village and did the van sickle bi-state hike. The staff members are so friendly and made the stay great! Thanks so much - we’ll be back! "
