RENOVATION COMPLETE!! RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Unobstructed views for miles. Walk out the back door, off the deck then immediately you are on the sand! Stunning ocean view from the cozy indoor sitting area. Very private with no neighbors to the south and blocked view of the north houses yet walking distance to popular hot spot eateries. Large 50-inch TV in family room and TVs in all three bedrooms. Rokus with active Hulu and Netflix on all four! Two queen bedrooms and the third with two Duo bunks. Two baths, one with tub/shower combination, the other full-size walk-in shower with seat and pull-down sprayer. Linens included at no additional cost. Kitchen well equipped. All new cabinets, granite and appliances. New large capacity washer and dryer. Non-Smoking home. Unfortunately, since two incidents a month after renovation, we are NO LONGER a pet vacation rental.

The home was just as portrayed and Vickie was great about keeping me updated on check-in. Unfortunately, we travelled in during a bad storm and only stayed 1 night. We were unable to enjoy the outdoor areas but as a frequent beach vacationer, I could tell that they would have been amazing had the weather been more amenable. Vickie was very understanding of the situation and was a great host. I would highly recommend a stay at this property.

Awesome ocean views from huge back deck right next to the dunes. Easy beach access from the house and new renovations….brand new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms and 1 new big picture window to watch the ocean from the inside when raining. Screened in side porch a plus also. Have been going here for 4 years now. So nice to see improvements every time! Thank you Don and Vickie for sharing your wonderful beach house. Hope to see it again next year.

Family loved our stay. Property is in a great location and clean. We brought our 2 dogs and the house was accommodating for them as well with covers on the sofas, food bowls, and gates on the deck that we appreciated.

Location is everything

Right on the beach with unmatched views of the ocean! We loved it here, especially on the back deck. It is a great place to see dolphins (and sting rays!).The recently upgraded appliances and kitchen cabinets were very nice. We really enjoyed it here and hope to return for future vacations.

Magnificent location

Always an amazing stay at Hip Nautical!

This was our third stay at Hip Nautical. Perfect location, the owners are very thoughtful and do a lot of extras to make your stay wonderful. Our pups loved it too! Dog friendly, spacious and absolutely stunning views! They have a great deck on the oceanfront. We love it!

Fabulous Location!

This home offers the most magnificent view and proximity to the ocean of any house that we stayed at while at the ocean. You could just sit on the deck and feel like you were at the beach!

Vacation

Perfect for private beach vaca. Even in the off season, it was exactly what i wanted. Quiet, but close enough to everything. House is very nice, clean, and owners were easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this beach oasis!

Great Getaway

Awesome beach front house and perfect place to relax. Convenient to stores / restaurants / sights. Hosts are helpful and available for any questions should needs arise and have thought of all the "little things" inside. Can see many upgrades have been done to the property already and sounds like more are planned, should make this very nice place even nicer!

Great oceanfront property! So convenient to town, but so private! Beautiful views from spacious deck, screened in porch, or inside house. Pelicans, gulls, dolphins... sand, shells, sun! This place is the BEST!

Great Location

Dolphins, pelicans and beautiful weather.

We saw so very many dolphins this trip along with a lot of pelicans. Watching them from the huge deck with the magnificent views was amazing. Weather was great, sunny and warm. Free Netflix is always a plus. Great restaurants, bagels and a bakery all within a few miles of Hip Nautical keeps cooking at a minimum. We hope to get back again next year.

Outdoor fun and spectacular views

This place has amazing outdoor space! We went during December, but I kept wishing it was summer or fall so I can just hang out either in the screened porch, back porch, or under the house to enjoy the beautiful ocean views. The house is cozy with lots of thoughtful amenities, and the owner is kind and attentive. Very glad we came.

Quick get away

We needed a break after Christmas. We had never been to the Outer Banks. Our dogs lived walking on beach. Good restaurants. This beach house is right on the beach. Beautiful sun rise.

Perfect holiday getaway

HipNautical was the perfect place to spend the week between Christmas and New Years! We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle and disconnect for a few days. Vickie and Don's place was so comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a much needed break. Our elderly doggo was so happy to spend the days on the deck overlooking the beach. And man, the views are so beautiful! We can't recommend this place enough.

Wonderful relaxing vacation!

HipNautical is a wonderful property that is very well appointed with everything we needed. Vicki is a great host and quickly responded to any questions. There is nothing like staying right on the beach and waking to the sound of the waves. Although the weather during our stay was not what we had hoped, we still had a very relaxing visit. Amazing location!

HipNautical is a wonderful find! Sitting on the deck you feel as though you are right on the beach! The house was very inviting with a lot of little touches that arent provided in other houses - a sweet welcome gift, kitchen supplies, toilet paper, kleenex, and even flashlights for the beach at night! The streaming services were also a welcomed surprise and tvs in all the bedrooms was really nice. Vicki was very communicative throughout the duration of our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Paradise!

We had another amazing stay at Hip Nautical in Kitty Hawk. The cottage is in a very convenient spot and right on the beach. It has a nice large deck and a covered and screened in porch with new furniture. The cottage is well maintained and the owners are wonderful to work with. They do a lot of extra things to make the cottage special. This was our third time there and definitely not our last!

No matter the weather, the view never disappoints

My 2nd year and 4th visit to Hip Nautical. Even with some rain, wind, as well as beautiful sunny days, the ocean view from the deck, screened-in porch and sitting area inside was always amazing. Well stocked house and also free Netflix makes for great movie watching on rainy days. Quick response always from owner with any questions. Counting days already to my September trip. Thank you Vickie and Don for sharing your home with others and for the very nice gift.

OBX Hip Nautical

We had a wonderful stay. Access to the property was seamless. Property was as described. The Host, Vickie was very prompt in responding to us regarding an issue. Issue was resolved. The beach access was awesome. Truly the best part of this stay was the deck & screened porch. We all spent many hours enjoying the sound of the ocean , watching the sunrises, dolphins and pelican "platoons". We had a most enjoyable time. Our family ranged in age from 18 to 88. Accommodations were satisfactory to all. Thank you gift was a lovely and most welcomed surprise. Amenities were great/beach towels/linens/kitchen ware etc. Thank you Vickie!

Relaxation from the second we put the code in.

The property is WONDERFUL!!! Litterally 20' from the beach and in an amazing location in Kill Devil Hills. The welcome gift will bring back memories for years. We had an issue with food pickup / delivery timing and Vicki was so helpful and returned our communication almost immediately offering a quick solution that saved our first day. The house wa so clean and perfect for our needs. It reminded me of the beach house i would go to with my family when I was a kid which was a great trip down memory lane. Only issue we had was when lightning struck the beach immediately behind the house which knocked out the wifi for the duration of our stay but that turned out to be very fortuitous as it gave us a solid reason for not communicating with work and checking emails which is truly what a vacation should be. When that happened we informed Vickie and she worked dilligently to try to find solutions but we told her not to worry as it actually helped us unplug and just sit and watch to waves, engage each other verbally (I know, we actually talked...lol) and enjoy the beach and if we really needed to get on line we would just use our hotspots from our phones. I would truly recommend this home for a vacation and definitely any property that Vickie is involed with. Thanks for everything Vickie and remember, reach out when / if you plan a trip to Boston.
